Thinking of you Burtha, can you get a second opinion? I'm sure you have thought through all the options, what a difficult time.
MadelinesMum, that's bad news for you but something really good will come along soon.
Not a bad day here weatherwise, washing on the line and if it stays dry I will be able to cut the grass, hope so as it's quite long.
Trying to get things sorted to go and visit DS2 in The Hague on Thursday, he keeps messaging with something else he needs!0 -

Camelot How lovely that you're off to The Hague againI hope you'll have good weather while you're there, and that there will be enough room for your own things by the time you've packed everything your DS has asked for!

Thanks ivyleaf, we have 4 bottles of sunscreen (it costs about 20 Euros there, £3.99 here), 6 bottles of shower gel, 2 shaving gel, 4 shampoo, a wok, head torch, electric toothbrush charger, mug and I bought him some new undies!
Still got the cheese to buy, he says the Dutch cheese is too mild and is looking forward to some good strong cheddar!
Lovely day here, garden tidied and washing dried. I am easily pleased.0 -
Gardening put on hold until Monday...resting so I can face tomorrow(weather permitting)the free Proms concert in Darlington South Park in the evening but a food festival in Northallerton during the day. No bus there on a Sunday so its one of the few times I catch a train.
The final straight garden wise but I killed my shoulder yesterday...the spade sometimes jolts my joint. I may see if the strimmer will help again. I'll start again on Monday.
I was going to indulge myself watching Gone with the wind today(I haven't seen it for 30yrs)and now on a newer wider TV at that...but I went out for a bus ride and a little shop instead. The weather was quite kind.
I want to take my folding chair tomorrow but may try and manage with a picnic rug and cram all I need into a rucksack. I have beef and tomato baps, a prepared salad(its all done for me and only cost £1)crisps, fruit. I have water and some soft drinks. If I use them across the day I can perhaps put anything I buy at the food event into the same rucksack.
I hope the weekend continues to be kind to everyone and those with big worries find peace. X"A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Have a good day tomorrow, Popperwell, sounds like you are well organised! One life - your life - live it!0

Thanks Nargleblast...At the start of the year I booked an expensive theatre show for me(once in a lifetime)The Judy Garland Story and starring one of Judy's daughters.
But its been pulled sooner than planned as Lorna Luft is going back to the States due to serious health problems(I think you can guess what)I have been offered a refund or to change to a production in October run by the same production company and they are donating £5 of the ticket price to a cancer charity.
The other show has no famous people in the cast but its the music of Gershwin, Berlin etc...though there may be a couple of ex Strictly dancers in the cast.
Anyone remember that I managed to get some new trays and then found a non slip one. Today in Poundland I found a non slip mat that can be cut down and put on desks, trays, under mats on the floor to stop items slipping, you can even cut a strip off and use it when trying to open glass jars/bottles and have a grip."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. The Hague sounds wonderful, if expensive ...hope there is some room in your case for your things ...
Well showed my face at the BBQ for 20 mins before I had to go to this shops ...not really a lie ,did need to get some stuff for my lunch tomorrow ....kids and dh will be at home tomorrow so they needed stuff also ....I will be face painting lots of kids at a big posh hotel up past Newcastle ,some charity event on all day ...so business as normal and make people happy ....:) just hope that headache not to bad tomorrow ...it never really goes away if I am honest and whatever i take makes no difference ,so life goes on ,the kids have a saying ....its taken from Madagascar the movie , they love the penguins on it ,every time they end up in a strange situation the penguins say " just smile and wave boys ,smile and wave" well tomorrow I will be doing my impression of a penguin ..:rotfl:
Well better go and check my kit ,otherwise who knows what I will end up taking
