Monna - change vets!! Its not acceptable for an animal to be in that situation for so long.
I too remember the corner shop - that delivered for no charge! My mum had a notebook that listed what she wanted, dropped it in the shop and it came back with the items priced and totalled. She then went into the shop, paid her bill and left the book for the next delivery - simples! As we keep saying - different times.
Well Ive topped an tailed anotherp punnet of blackcurrants and theyre in the freezer. Did have a chuckle - my freezer was kindly donated a couple of years ago as mine went on the blink (full of course!) she was having an integrated one fitted that day and the old one hadn't even had time to be defrosted! I was so grateful and its still going strong. I found a bag of ice cubes that DH had stuffed in there and they'd all clumped together so I gave them a bang on the top of the freezer .... and the freezer light came on! Didn't know it had one - must have been jostled when we moved it back in the car.
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Quick update. Another vets appointment made for 9.30 tomorrow.
    Breath is bated.

I had a student living with us once and we had this thing going where we greeted each other with newspaper headlines. Hot days like this it would be......

    PHEW. WOT A SCORCHER.

    EGGS FRYING ON THE PAVEMENT.

THOUSANDS STORM A&E WITH HEAT STROKE.

DROUGHT THREATENS AS RESERVOIRS DRY UP.

    I wonder if he remembers.

It's of no consequence, I don't know why I said it really. Just thinking aloud.

My mum would never use the co-op, can't remember why, probably snobbery.

    My Mum also!

Hope the tap is sorted soon, wonder what they did to it?

It has been quite warm here but no sunshine, just in the middle of a thunder storm, I love thunder storms!

No thunder here yet, been grey and cool most of the day. Late on this afternoon it got to 16c, still grey though.

We're in the back yard, parasol up as the sun has only just gone behind the houses behind us...a few minutes ago it rained for 45 seconds with no clouds in the sky - how does that happen?!

Floss, it was the neighbours behind you spitting at you because you have stolen their shade.

The tap replacement cost £120, £50 for the tap and £70 fitting charge, not too bad a price.

I ordered a new washing machine for her £303 with delivery, and installation, with the old one disconnected and disposed of.

She sent me a message at 3 o'clock to tell me the toilet is leaking, so the plumber will be going back there asap to fix that!

I'm certainly not going to get rich am I.

Heater, ask your plumber to check every other thing just in case!
