Congrats on applying for the job, what field do you work in? And your work at the radio sounds like it's really getting going! What kind of show is it? Just thinking about song suggestions for you but you need to tell us all about the show!!

Just a quick update to resurrect m'diary!! Have had a lovely few days away - it really does you good to get completely away from your usual routine - including the internet in my case!! I went to the hotel but the public access pc that I usually use with no probs was full of pop-ups and warnings about viruses and malware etc that had possibly infected it!! So decided against using it obviously!!!

When I got back today I just had time to get ready to go out for my friend's 30th - it was quite a smart place we were going to so I had been a bit apprehensive about how much it would cost but it ended up being very reasonable so very pleased!!

Will write more tomoz as it is now late and I am being a night owl again!!!!!!

    Love & hugs xxx

Welcome back. Glad you had a good break and the 30th doo wasn't too expensive.

Thanks scuba - I actually only spent £26 which isn't bad at all! And definitely less than I thought it would come to.

I need to start focusing back on progress again. I do find when I've been away it takes me a while to get back into routines again. This time I'll be going away again fairly soon, over Easter, so I need to look ahead to that and focus in the meantime.

I've been in the radio studio again this afternoon and had a brilliant time. I'll be going on a full induction training day on April 14th. I took all my docs in for the DBS check today, so that's all done and dusted.

I've realised that unexpected social events (or even expected ones) are a big thing for me to take note of. If someone were to ask me about my social life I wouldn't think I do much, but when I start listing everything it's surprising how much there is. This month has been high on this and is set to continue as my cousin is coming over next week and I haven't seen him for ages. This will be a meal at home rather than going out though.

Is anyone going to watch the eclipse on Friday morning? If you do, make sure you use approved solar viewing glasses - our local paper is giving them away free tomorrow so I may try to get a pair. Otherwise I'll be watching Prof Brian Cox on Stargazing Live and the view from TV !! :rotfl: Could be interesting as it will be during rush hour so a lot of folks will be driving along wondering why it's gone dark!!!!

I'm on a late shift Friday so was hoping to get out in to the local forest for a run (assuming the sore swollen foot is behaving itself) in the morning so hopefully it'll be a clear enough day that I can watch it from one of the more remote areas while I'm out.

Boooo didn't manage to get any solar viewing glasses.:o So the TV it will be, and I'll be more than happy with that, combined with noticing how dark it's gone outside.

I watched the one we had in 1999 in awe and wonder so it's not as though I haven't seen one.

I wonder how many people don't realize it's going to happen? LOL!!
