like what? can i prepare a cv without a computer? can i prepare a letter without a computer? assuming you perform a miracle and think of something valid. is it something guaranteed to need doing every sunday?

    Ever heard of 'writing'?

Doesn't matter in your case...you have internet...now I'm just totally convinced of your shirking!

indeed, you could write a letter and then retype it next time you are on a computer. or you could just work it out as you type. why cant people just do that?

pointing out flaws in peoples nonesense is not evidence of shirking. if it were that would mean my local jobcentre is advocating shirking.

yeah i did a little more the day before and the day after as i needed something to put down for that day. i was tired i had had a long day so i did what any sane person would do and went straight to bed. any jobseeking i might have done wont have been counted as that day by the website anyway due to being after midnight.

So you admit you have to look each day?

No an active job seeker would have a little look or check emails.

Of course after midnight counts. If I apply for jobs today from 9am to 2am its not two days it's one day even though the dates are going to be on the log on the sites like Reed or Monster etc when I applied but it's all about the time and effort each day not a cut off a midnight.

Like I said before when does a day start and end?

The end to me is when I say "ok that's it for today" not "its 12am I must stop"

I could be filling in an application form or writing a supporting statement to use I am not just going to stop

The only time I have a cut off is the night before I sign

I stop at 11pm and do my file and upload to dropbox - that's the only cut off I have - a 2 weekly one.

Anyway you do what you think is correct and others do differently

Can I ask how do you post on here?

not a lenient work coach at all. like i have said it is the same for everyone here. if you have the net they tend to expect 7 days if you dont then they dont expect 7 days. are the papers you mention published on sundays? if not then you would look at them on the day they are published surely? i havent seen any at my local supermarket. the local newspaper here has jobs on mondays and wednesdays. there is another regional paper published on fridays and thats it.
do spec applications? well yeah but like i said if you dont have a computer you would have to do them on another day and you would obviously post them on that day, why would you wait until sunday to post them just to be able to say you did something on sunday? especially when the royal mail wont even empty the post box until monday anyway.

Barriers, barriers, barriers...Just keep putting up those barriers donnajunkie and I will pop back by in 6 months or so to see if you are still posting on here as you was well over a year ago.It is really quite clear to see why some people are unemployed and you don't have to work in a Jobcentre to see why. Unfortunately a small minority of people are beyond help!!

How many hours a week do you job search ? And what do you class as job searching?

Of course you should be focused on finding work but that doesn't or shouldn't mean that it takes up all of your time. Do you never socialise, have people over, sit and watch a program on the telly, go out for a walk etc.etc.

There are plenty of long term unemployed who are in that position not through choice. I was one myself a couple of years ago. What's your experience of long term unemployment?
