not a lenient work coach at all. like i have said it is the same for everyone here. if you have the net they tend to expect 7 days if you dont then they dont expect 7 days. are the papers you mention published on sundays? if not then you would look at them on the day they are published surely? i havent seen any at my local supermarket. the local newspaper here has jobs on mondays and wednesdays. there is another regional paper published on fridays and thats it.Well you are lucky then having such a lenient work coach. Like I said JSA is a 7 day benefit so you are expected to do all you realistically can 7 days a week in order to be entitled to the JSA payments. Why no paper - pick up free copies from your supermarket that's open Sundays???Most employers not open Sunday? Don't think so these days...Get ur CV out to them speculatively - it does actually work you know....Anyway I can go on all day but today is my day off so I will stop there as got a week ahead of it starting in the morning....
do spec applications? well yeah but like i said if you dont have a computer you would have to do them on another day and you would obviously post them on that day, why would you wait until sunday to post them just to be able to say you did something on sunday? especially when the royal mail wont even empty the post box until monday anyway.0 -

Preparation dear...preparation!0 -
no good time management skills wouldnt have been able to sort anything for that day. all free time was taken up by something else. i still did jobsearch for that day, just not on that day.Good time management skills can free up time to spend as you wish.
It isn't just about fulfilling requirements it is about finding a job...
it is about both fulfilling and finding a job but the fulfilling has to come first. if you dont put it first you will end up with a sanction. it has been made this way by the situation created by government with the you must do this or else scenario. job seekers are all subject to quotas that they must reach or else. i find myself on many occasions having to apply for jobs at locations i cant get to just to ensure i fulfill the requirements. this is why you get so many employers complaining that they get time wasters who arent qualified applying.0 -

You do spend a lot of time working out how to minimise your jobseeking activity. Perhaps this could be a factor in your very long term unemployment? It would be worthwhile following the advice offered to you in this thread, could make all the difference to your job prospects.0 -

me pointing out the obvious that is even obvious to my local jobcentre isnt trying to minimise anything. you just cant face the fact that you are wrong. not one person has suggested something that can be done on a sunday. You do spend a lot of time working out how to minimise your jobseeking activity. Surely if you were genuinely seeking employment you would have found a job by now. Seems to me you are pulling the wool in order to 'fulfill' as you put it!0 -

Anything that requires preparation. Yes there is no post collection on a Sunday but that doesn't mean you can't prepare what requires posting...0 -
like what? can i prepare a cv without a computer? can i prepare a letter without a computer? assuming you perform a miracle and think of something valid. is it something guaranteed to need doing every sunday?Anything that requires preparation.
