And if they wont interview you because you are either
    Over qualified
    Or
    Unemployed

then 1 or 101 job applications makes no difference.

I've known people longterm unemployed get employment pretty quickly, through pure determination.

If you have the net at home you won't have to bother yourself with bus fares or trips out to use the net elsewhere. And lets face it, a daily job search is a matter of minutes I'm sure, especially for someone like you who has been doing it for a while!! And as it is in your interest to find work...
yeah but things can go wrong that prevent you from jobseeking on a certain day like illness for example. i recently went to london for the day. there was no time to job seek that day. was it really that wrong of me to have a day away?

You need to think of alternative ways to job search other than the Internet. You will be quite aware that 70% of vacancies ARE NOT advertised so the internet is not the be all and end all when searching for work.
indeed, 70% are not advertised but you will need a computer to work on the applications and possibly a printer as well. the chances are if someone doesnt have the net they dont have a computer either. perhaps i am missing something but it would be interesting to hear suggestions of what other jobseeking activities there are that can be done on a sunday.

Well I don't particularly think it has to be everyday so long as you put in real effort and how you manage your time is up to you, so long as you do what you need to do to get that job.

I know if it were me I wouldn't need to put that amount of time in.

Yeah or maybe you were just unlucky...or confused
no not being required to do 7 days is very much a lucky thing. you can choose to of course but if one sunday you fancy visiting your gran instead you will know you arent at risk of being sanctioned for visiting your gran.

Well I kind of get your stance on this and not sure you will ever say anything positive about the job centre, jobsearching or similar.

It is common sense to put in a good application that stands a chance of winning an interview and I'm sure that is what the jobcentre expects regardless.

Alot of what you post gives off the impression that you are only interested in doing what is asked of you to avoid a sanction in benefits. Had you put in time and effort I'm sure you'd have got a job by now!
i promise you on the rare occasion i have something nice to say about them i do say it.
they judge you on volume not quality. it is not doing enough that people get sanctioned for.
the reason it appears that i am only interesting in doing what is asked is because it is very important to ensure you do appear to be doing as asked, failure to do that means a sanction, it is the rules that force people to think this way. i talk about this alot so i guess it can appear the way you say.

You raise a good point here BoJangles, when people have been unemployed as long as donnajunkie any time management skills they had will be out the window. This is where mandatory work placements can be used, give them something more useful than playing computer games all day ;)
