if they find out you have the net at home they will take liberties and require you to jobsearch everyday of the year, otherwise no you dont have to 7 days a week. i keep hearing about 35 hours being required but that hasnt ever been specified to me yet. people have suggested to me to tell them i no longer have the net. it is tempting but i am holding that back until i feel the time is right. that could be if they ever start to get really unreasonable.
ps dont allow access to your ujm account.

If you have the net at home you won't have to bother yourself with bus fares or trips out to use the net elsewhere. And lets face it, a daily job search is a matter of minutes I'm sure, especially for someone like you who has been doing it for a while!! And as it is in your interest to find work...

I told them I had internet access at home, and I was not required to search every day.
you were lucky then. at mine it seems to be by default. say you have it at home and they select the everyday option on the claimant commitment.

    Read this https://www.dropbox.com/en/help/1964

Saves them as a JPEG file so much easier then copying and pasting as I just log in and see them, 1 click and it's done

all as one file no matter how many pages saved?

but if you have no access to the net how are you supposed to jobsearch on a sunday? i dont think because you get paid for 7 days that it means you must jobseek for 7 days. jsa is paid for 6 days i think and i know someone who is only required to jobsearch 4 days per week.

You need to think of alternative ways to job search other than the Internet. You will be quite aware that 70% of vacancies ARE NOT advertised so the internet is not the be all and end all when searching for work.

The 35 hours is manadry I beleive, when you sign up to job seekers you sign a form called "my claimant commitment" and inside that form is a part called "my actions for getting work" it will state in there my says "I am aware of the need for 35 hours job searching per week" the way I am now working it now is doing 5 hours a day x 7 = 35 hours much easier lol we have just changed things at my job centre here in Shakespeare country, we have to now fill out a fill a sheet everyday to say what we done, how we done it, actions taken and how how hours it took ect not sure if it's the sane anywhere else, but like most job centres not very helpful I am 34 but claimed job seekers years ago and they went out there way to help you, offered you things that would help ie like courses, but know your left to do everything and there not interested in anything you say.
i havent seen anything about 35 hours in mine. when it changed to the new one my activities that i present to them didnt change.

I would say that once the initial preperation has been complete on your cv etc. you wouldn't even need to do 35 hours a week. So long as you can prove you have put in a good effort.

At the end of the day, you can apply for thousands of jobs with half a heart and it would be a waste of time. If you apply for fewer job applications but put more effort into it then you will do better.
this would require the jobcentre to have common sense. its all about volume to them.

And if they wont interview you because you are either
    Over qualified
    Or
    Unemployed

then 1 or 101 job applications makes no difference.

I can assure you as a Job centre work coach JSA is a 7 day benefit!
ok but its been my experience that only people with the net at home have the 7 day requirement.

Well I kind of get your stance on this and not sure you will ever say anything positive about the job centre, jobsearching or similar.

It is common sense to put in a good application that stands a chance of winning an interview and I'm sure that is what the jobcentre expects regardless.

Alot of what you post gives off the impression that you are only interested in doing what is asked of you to avoid a sanction in benefits. Had you put in time and effort I'm sure you'd have got a job by now!
