LW posted last week and mentioned she was having puter trouble, I think she said they were awaiting a service call or new router? I know she wasn't at home when she posted and said not to worry about her. Hopefully her problems will be fixed soon and she'll be back online.

Mmm, I thought she had posted while we were away, but maybe I'm just getting my weeks muddled.
Managed most of this mornings off site flying, nieces pressie bought, Mother's Day cars chosen...

You are SOOOOOOOOO generous, mrs-mp :rotfl:
Dusty, I would see if your mum can be dissuaded from the implants its a lot to take on at her age pain and expense wise.

Dusty, I agree. Also, it would not be a good idea for your mum to go through a long procedure which always holds the risk of getting an infection, would it? ;)

    Hair decluttered :)
1.5 lb decluttered and new target set at SW :)
    Card delivered :)
    Roses pruned :)
    Sun still shining :)

Lunch is next on the list :D

Thanks but it's not my Mum, can't remember who's it was though.

Food shop done and put away.

Feeling tired now so I think I'll have an hour on the sofa with a book or magazine then clear up all the chewed up fruit loaf on the office floor - no lunch required for kittens now!

Anyone that is having to deal with snow has my sympathies, I live quite far south so luckily I don't get it very often. We do live in a very cold house though!

    Sounds just like my home.

I know exactly what you mean Lynne - that is always happening to me! I try to be caring and helpful and then get ignored and I must admit things do "fester"- hence the not sleeping. Trying my meditation again to sort it - as there are more important things in life.

Has anyone heard from LW please -
Hope the meds work for you and you get some decent night's sleeps. Being tired doesn't bode well for anyone.

I'm also thinking LW said she was waiting for a computer related repair/replacement before she would be back on-line.

Just had a mega cook-up and prepped it all for the freezer when it's cooled down. So four double portions chicken curry, two double of moroccan chicken, four double of coq au vin.

Kitchen now full of pots, pans, utensils etc but won't take long and then I'll do the floor before starting on the dinner - liver and bacon today as I don't fancy chicken now :rotfl:

If it's gone I've done it or don't have one

We have had a very 'stripey' day here re the weather. Started with everything covered in snow. Then brilliant sunshine followed by more snow, snow-bows and then more sun. Now back to black clouds :(

Just having a cuppa then I'll go back to the kitchen

A lurker briefly coming out of the closet to comment on the driving issue.

My OH's nan was becoming unfit to drive at around the time he was learning to drive. Once everyone else was happy he was capable, he got insured on her car and would drive her around for "practice" (seeing as she had a licence). After he passed he would drive her around for more practice or "borrow" the car for periods of time, so she didn't have access to it. Eventually she agreed to give it up because of how much it was costing her for the few journeys she did. Quite often taxis work out cheaper if they're not doing any long journeys.

It might also be worth pointing out that if the insurance company got a sniff that she wasn't capable to drive, she wouldn't be insured, not to mention the guilt if you suspected you weren't fit, but carried on anyway.

On the fly lady front, I'd actually done the fridge (not the freezer) on Sunday, so feel a bit ahead of the game. Doubt it will last though as I'm unlikely to get anything more done before Friday (long hours Mon-Thu). Bathroom, main bedroom and mopping floors are my spring clean priorities this week.

Sorry dusty thats me getting names mixed up and confusing Iona, it was cycling Yorkie who was asking about her mums dental procedure and driving. My mistake sorry.

Iona, I wish I could afford cars but I don't think my Mum would tank me as she loves walking to keep fit and as mil has never had a lesson in her life that would be just lean scary!! She's a bad enough back seat driver when DHs takes her anywhere without getting behind the wheel. It is just carDs the mums steps and mils are getting.

    Hi everyone

Very productive day. Have hoovered downstairs, washed kitchen and utility floors, wiped cupboards and appliances, cleaned downstairs windows, cleaned ds loo, done some laundry, cooked a roast for tea, oh and paid stuff of course.

Its supposed to be a really nice sunny day tomorrow so will get our sheets done.

Feet up time now I think!
