Knitta yes it will dry, I put mine out all year round, doesn't dry in dank weather but will on bright and breezy days. It will feel cold when you bring it in so will feel wet but bung it on a maiden (airer) and it will soon finish off.

    DS and GF away now.
    Aga heating back up
    Documents printed.

Need to wash up now and push the hoover around.
    Really wasted today.

  • Afternoon all! I'm in this week (ex-lurker ahoy) as I've got friends coming over at the weekend...and I'd like them to come back!!

    Aiming for....

Mystical Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining Room
    Basic Flying...
    Sweep and mop the floor
Wipe the worktops, removing everything that shouldn't be there
Wipe the inside of the fridge and see what needs using up
    Dishes!! (added that meself):D
    Deep Cleaning...
Scrub manky marks off walls and tiles
    Empty and wash out bins

    Decluttering...
Empty and clean out food cupboards.. make inventory so you know what you don't need to buy!!
Clean out the cupboard with the miscellaneous items!

Hugs to lynnejk, best way is to ignore them and not give them the satisfaction…but I know that's easier said than done! :(

cyclingyorkie, we recently just bought a house after what felt like a long time, so LOTS of positive vibes going DD2’s way!! :j

DottyBearP, never be ashamed of the joy that a tidy cupboard brings! I feel at one with the world when all of my cleaning bottles and mugs (not that they’re in the same cupboard mind) are facing the same way….ommmm

Wish me luck with the list!
Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

Welcome new flyfolk, good to have you on board!

I've been virtuous and made a good start on the kitchen after work. Kiddies are home and decided on cereal for tea - naughty mum has let them. So toast is also being consumed and no doubt fruit and yoghurt next.

I've not mopped the floor and I do need to clean the microwave, but I've emptied the tat off the work tops and cleaned them down, swept floor, emptied Dw and sorted laundry.

    So looking much better.

Going to sort kiddies then off to get weighed but I'm not staying at group tonight - just too tired!

Evening all, have had a quick skim read.

CyclingYorkie - re your mother, I don't know how you'll raise the subject but my suggestion would not be to have the teeth done, but to use the money for taxi's instead of driving. No one is brave enough to tackle my MIL about driving, she went straight through a red light at a crossing when I was with her, very scary.

I haven't decluttered anything yet today, but will do soon. Tomorrow morning I need to get the ironing done before the paid stuff as I didn't have time in the end yesterday.
Spend less now, work less later.

Welcome to new people - make yourselves at home.

Tomorrow, in addition to the dailies, I aim to
    - clean out the herbs and spices cupboard
    - clean out the under-sink cupboards in the kitchen and utility
    - sort out the vases and pots of dead plants in the utility :o

    Done, done and done :)

    Also
    - attended a 3-hour induction session for the voluntary job which I started in September :rotfl: - it was very well run and we were offered sandwiches and cake for lunch (not SW friendly but delicious!)
    - tidied the bathroom
    - got rid of 4 large boxes from the loft void and 3 more from the utility
    - tidied the loft void (not a great deal to be done, but moving a couple of things round has created more space)
    - sorted some more things in the study-bedroom
    - took another mutual friend to visit the one who is ill
    - took a big bag of oddments to the CS
    - got a refund on a 'special' that I bought yesterday at @1d1 which turned out to be unsuitable for what I needed
    - cooked yummy chicken, wedges and roasted veg for tea
    - had a long conversation with DS1 :)

No point in starting any 'proper' work now, so I'll go and watch the end of University Challenge and probably stay glued to the TV for the rest of the evening

Dusty, regarding the kittens and beds issue from last week, little girls don't seem to be as bad as little boys but boys, in my experience, won't use litter trays that they consider too dirty. I had a little chap that used to relieve his frustrations on my bed (with me in it) or the wicker knife and fork tray in the kitchen. It may also be a sign of maturing, but in the meantime, another litter tray *might* help.

Lynnejk, I'm always really shocked by people who are unpleasant. It's a great pity we don't have a personal 'Ignore' button to stop them contaminating our world, but we don't need anyone like that in our lives, so if you can just switch them off in your head it would be worthwhile.

Welcome Knitta Please, BargainHunteress and DottyBear P. (Have I just found a long lost, previously unknown, cousin?)

CY Posivibes re house-hunting. I'm afraid to say the driving issue is a really thorny one, for which there isn't a straightforward answer. GPs won't touch it, and it really is down to families to take action once they know there is a very high risk of an accident. My mother's Parkinson's really affected her judgement and we had to take her keys away, which upset her terribly. I couldn't have lived with myself if she'd hurt anyone and she would have, eventually.

I'm still struggling a bit but I've registered everywhere I can think of that might have the next dog of my dreams. In the meantime I have managed to fly a bit today and have both cleared the Filing tray and gone through the In Tray, which is now looking pretty slim in comparison. I've set aside an irritatingly froggy task for tomorrow which doesn't require much concentration as that is completly shot at the moment.
    Better is good enough.
