Just ordered the cat food and bag of cat litter to arrive tomorrow courtesy of amaz0n. fingers crossed cats like this meat. If not try another.

Attempt to clean the quilt and bedding destroyed by flying mud balls courtesy of the weather.

Right going to attempt to get on with things and attempt a half hour tidy on.

Ok bad news, no passport, good news, booked them short notice at centrePs so they can still go later today. Big loss of money but these things happen.

Need to go and check on DS3 now. All I have done is put another load of washing on and washed up!

Welcome to the [STRIKE]madhouse[/STRIKE] group Dotty :)You’ll love it here, we are a friendly group and everyone supports each other through thick and thin, sad and happy times too :)
Lynne huge hugs honey. I’ve found sometimes you just can’t please all people, you are a lovely person and please don’t let anyone’s comments upset you and get you down. I know how easy it is to take things to heart as I do it myself sadly.. I am slowly learning how to deal with it – if someone has a problem with me then tough. I’m me and I won’t change for anyone…. If they don’t like it then they aren’t really a friend are they?
Boddy maybe you can send some of Gingerninja’s weight to my ninjakitten :)He is like a cheetah in how he looks, rather skinny but definitely not underweight :D
Dusty sorry about DS’s girlfriend passport but I am sure that they will enjoy CPs. Hopefully you can get Mum sorted out soon..hugs for you xx
Mamaninie so glad missing kittie came home. Lots of TLC and hugs I think are called for :)

Unfortunately last week was a bit of a nono for me, heck what am I saying the past few weeks have been a nono for me.

Unfortunately I am curtailed again with the snapped tendons in my ankle from falling down the stairs back before Christmas..stupid me didn’t get it looked at at the time as I thought it was just a sprain. Well I’m now paying for it now.. Plus my broken elbow is taking longer than my consultant thought it would. The tendons aren’t healing as quickly as they should, even though the bone seems to have healed although there is still a fair bit of pain. So I am putting it back in the sling temporarily and putting an ankle support on my ankle. My friend has lent me her crutches to use as and when, although that could be a bit difficult with my arn back in the sling..and even out of the sling I can’t use it strengthwise/weightwise due to not being able to straighten it etc… And yes I know it’s my own fault as I didn’t rest either the arm or foot at the time..but who would have thought nearly three months down the line I would still be unable to use the arm and the ankle would be giving me so much grief. Still it will mean I can do stuff sitting down i.e. cleaning out my cutlery drawer, filing etc…

So far I have managed to declutter two cups of tea and a scotch egg…oh and given the elder of the two dogs his morning tablets. Haven’t tried his eye ointment yet, might leave that till D gets home as he is better at doing it than me.

Now on to my shower I think :D

This was brought up on another thread - wrong area for your DD2, I know, but worth a look just for the WOW! factor :rotfl: Hope it brings a smile to your face :)

That is amazing. Worse than mine on the bad days!!

  • This is my first proper try at the Flylady method, so I've just done an hour of decluttering, and am now girding myself to attack the kitchen. Quick cuppa, then off I go!

    Welcome Dotty
Various hugs, sticks etc to all.
Very cold wind here but sunny, so washing probably nearly dry.
Started to continue weeding (mainly ivy) round a stone circle in the front garden where we have a pond; was infuriated by constant molestation from a climbing rose. It spiked my hat, hooked my jacket and generally got me ripping mad literally. The top 20ft of it is now sulking on the drive where I have lopped it off in fury. About time it had flowers at a level normal people can see them, not by having to stand on the roof. That'll teach it.

And talking of roof, why is the weatherman saying how sunny this winter has been - just had the feed-in tariff from the solar panels and it is pathetic! That's our first whole year with the panels, so will do some maths this evening.

Bit of lunch then out to shred the monster. Of course as I was madly pruning, much of it fell into the pond.............which needed clearing out anyway.

  • Mountain of washing up done, cupboards and sides scrubbed down, floor swept. Another quick cuppa before I get the mop out. Laundry is on as well.

Quick question: it's a bright day out - will it dry if I hang it outside? (Tumble dryer devotee trying to cut down on use!)
