Hi skinty!
Happy birthday to fly-relatives!
Quite a nice peaceful day here (kiddies with granny) so I have rested and didn't get up (apart from to get some grub) until noon
Feeling much better so I've prettied my nails (had to take old gel off for that SATs ting they clip on your finger) and done some pottering:
Washed my dressing gown - some horspiddle grot on the collar -bleurgh-
Loaded DW and emptied the drainer
Made curry for later
Binned some recycling bits
Dusted and vacced LR a - also de-gibbled but it was mostly kids stuff which I just chucked in the conservatory
I think that's enough for now. Just sitting down to a yoghurt, wondering why I'm hungry when I realise its past half past two!!
Very blustery here today but I really CBA pegging out washing for a couple of hours so I might not bother.
I have ironing to catch up on but I might leave till tonight and see if there's anything good on TV at the same time. And I might do the downstairs WC.
Ooh, does that mean I've found my GUAG? I thought I'd be terrible today but I'm just so glad yesterday is overBossymoo

in case of future requirements.. no you don't.. they are lying when they say it makes any difference at all. OHs step-ma is a theatre nurse and she said so and she should know. She is as highly qualified as a nurse can be before you start on dr grades. Nail polish makes no difference either, even with glitter in!!!

Forgot to say earlier, welcome back to Skinty and hello to lurkers and newbies.
Bossy - glad you're feeling more positive now that horsepiddle is out of the way.
Well, dogs have had a second walk and they chose a long route again, the washing has dried on the line (first I've put out this year, bad Jazee) and I've cut the grass back and front, and finished prepping my veg plot ready for planting seeds, hopefully tomorrow.
I also rang that second old friend and caught up on all the news (make that gossip) and have an invitation to a posh party. Woohoo.
I am now going to read the paper and do more sedate things for the rest of the day than gardening. I don't want to overdo it and not be able to move tomorrow. Oh and DD is popping over later, so that will be nice, even if it is just to use the printer.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
The_Only_Girl wrote: »Hi all,
I just came across Flylady on Wednesday and wow, I am impressed. I have seen it mentioned in one or few of the threads here on MSE forums, got curious (as we do) and googled it. Watched her few videos on youtube and I agree with her philosophy and I think it's exactly what I need. Every room in my house has hotspots and towering infernos that need sorting. I have signed up for her emails which continuously flood my inbox (didn't realise there would be so many!)
I am very excited to give her Flycleaning method a try although I would have to wait til my 3 major hurdles are over (2 events coming up and a job interview on Tuesday). Hopefully after those hurdles I will be more physically and psychologically conditioned to do some decluterring and "flying". I will however keep on lurking on these threads to learn more. Till later.Grocery challenge-

Welcome back skinty!
Well we all helped to make the house look immaculate this morning (even if it did me a hiding things in cupbaords!!!)
Then we went bowling this morning before lent lunch at church and visited m and d. On the way back hubby stopped to get some electrical cable for the tv! (No idea!)
Now we are home and ds1 and oh are playing on the play station and ds2 is watching CBeebies! I have caught up in thread, had a cuppa and now I am going to do a few bits off the list! While cooking dinner. Hubby has just invited his bro and dad round for dinner! Gammon it is then!
To do...
Strip some neglected sticky bedding
Dust anything you've missed during the week
Wipe paintwork in a room you haven't done in a while
Clean front and backs of 2 radiators
Wipe light switches
Sort through a drawer or cupboard
Straighten a bookcase..the books not the actual bookcase!!
Clean kitchen windows
Clean living room windows
Clean ds1s windows
Cut the lawn!
That should keep me out of trouble!Grocery challenge-

Afternoon all
Been doing birthday stuff (like baking a cake) and gardening. My hands are aching now so need a rest.
Cat beeding washed and drying on the line.
Please remember we are only losely inspired by flylady. We don't use her lists, we create our own, we are more relaxed. Please do not copy any of the original stuff onto this thread as quite rightly her stuff is copywrited. Obviously feel free to be inspired by her.

Note to self page 3 - treat (catch up) for later.
been super busy. H
Anyway I have been to town for fruit from the market and managed to womble 3 stalks of sprouts...they were intended for the bunny but there's nothing wrong with them at all but I can't eat that many :rotfl: not sure what to do!
And, still channelling Pollyanna, I have had washing on the line for 2 days and it's dried beautifully; so no TD use; also I washed up by hand before I went out this morning...and I HAVE LOST 6 WHOLE POUNDS FOLLOWING SLIMMING WORLD this week. Valli - blanch them and put them in portion sizes in the freezer. Waste not want not. And your siggy is making me feel guilty today, we have a hotspot in the kitchen where I've been piling up the post all week.
Must deal with it, but my nails need some TLC first.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Absolutely cream crackdered. Over done it in the garden but haven't actually done that much, maybe I'll go back on my iron tablets for a bit.
DW emptied
Washing in
Dinner cooking
Just going to hoover out mog beds and remake and that is it for the day.
Valli I know you will be fine, you are very self reliant, does DS have a job whilst at uni? Without Ex support will DS be able to get a grant? So glad my DS2 is doing uni from home, it is so much cheaper. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
