  • Hi all,

I just came across Flylady on Wednesday and wow, I am impressed. I have seen it mentioned in one or few of the threads here on MSE forums, got curious (as we do) and googled it. Watched her few videos on youtube and I agree with her philosophy and I think it's exactly what I need. Every room in my house has hotspots and towering infernos that need sorting. I have signed up for her emails which continuously flood my inbox (didn't realise there would be so many!)

I am very excited to give her Flycleaning method a try although I would have to wait til my 3 major hurdles are over (2 events coming up and a job interview on Tuesday). Hopefully after those hurdles I will be more physically and psychologically conditioned to do some decluterring and "flying". I will however keep on lurking on these threads to learn more. Till later.

    Evening all

I'm home and tucked up in bed. Bit bashed about but all done and dusted. To see consultant in 6wks but he says a formality and will be discharged then. Just got a few tablets to take over the weekend and then I'll be back to my usual self hurrah.
But for now I'm tired and fuzzy headed so going to sleep.

    Night all x

My list is getting smaller and it is Gilly 2, BD 0 :T:j:T

    Kitchen and Dining Room
    Sweep and mop the floor

Living Rooms, Reception Rooms, Hallway and Stairs
    Declutter and vacuum floors

    Master bedroom and Landing
Sort one area of clothes or linen storage, make sure only what should be in there is. Anything that has had it’s day or doesn’t belong there remove it.
Sort through a bag or box of stuff you’ve not looked at in months. I am certain there will be stuff in there that you don’t need – I know I have some.

Paint DS's bedroom, 3 walls done, B&Q no longer sell the paint that I need and it was their own brand. Did one wall with what they said was a match and it is nothing like so leaving the last wall as is till DS returns and complains as I don't think he will like it:mad: oh well I tried and it does look and smell miles better.

Put up blind, need DH to put it up tomorrow

    Buy 4 pillows

    Pack and post eBay parcel
Return curtains to The Range, but can't find receipt so hoping it will not be a problem

    HHI x 3
    Then put away everything

Hoping to spend some time in the garden tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing some sunshine

Night Bossy, glad you're ok. Onwards and upwards.

Gardening planned here for the weekend with a little indoor flying and lots of dog walking thrown in.

    Catch you all tomorrow.
Spend less now, work less later.

Postie brought the final paperwork for the cruise this morning. We travel to Tilbury next Saturday (14th) and sail on the Sunday. I am now shaking like the proverbial leaf!!:D

I do hope you enjoy it. Mr N feels he wouldn't enjoy cruising much, but I've been on 2 with my Mum and we had a great time - planning to go again this year. What I love (especially when with an older lady ie my mum) is that once you have unpacked there is no more carrying bags or re-packing yet you still get to see lots of different places. Remind me where you are going?
