March 1st delivers for 2015
I know this is a forum about saving money, but we are going to pick up our first ever brand new car tomorrow, the registration documents came through the post today and I didn't realise till this week it's going to be one of the first cars on the road with the '15' plate
So who else has been stupid enough to waste their money on a brand new car this year
Note: please no advice about just much £££ we would have saved by buying used etc, I've done all that already (it's about £12k), this was a purchase decisions purely based on wanting to treat our selves to a bit of luxury.

And 5 mins after driving out of car showroom it will be worth about 10-40% less0

You'd have probably got more luxury through buying a nearly new/ex demo car with a higher spec for similar money. I will never understand why anyone would buy a brand new vehicle.0

Having the new plate is one thing, But having it on something worth owning is another.
I remember an old mag artice saying why does someone with a 3/5 year old Montego stick a private plate on the car?
Their answer was that it shows the owner has more money than sense, but not enough of either to buy a newer decent car.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
If you can afford it then why not, you only live once and it is nice to be driving around in a brand new car. I've been lucky enough to own one or two in the past, now I am happy with nearly new. I'm picking up a 63 plate next week and that's new enough for me.0

I've got a new car on order, swapping from an old big car to a new small car, working out fuel/tax costs to the new one including the pcp payments (0%) works out the same.
With servicing included on the new one and no mots/repairs it makes it an even more attractive deal.0 -
I'm stupid enough to buy a new car. I can afford it so why not, I work hard for a living (actually that's a lie, I just pay myself too much). I like the ego trip when people come over asking what it is and if they can have a look inside. Had same when I bought the IQ.0

And if nobody was buying new cars the garages would have demo's for??0
