Perhaps it was because he was still in his bed in Dagenham :rotfl:No response to my Payapl dispute yet.
Yes, they seem incredibly unproffessional. The guy on the phone was getting stroppy with me because I stupidly expected a customer service phone number to get you through to someone at customer services! How silly of me

I see the company gets worse by the day.
An edit to the original MoneySupermarket story in the OP.
It now appears there is no Apple warranty on the phones.
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/buying-refurbished-phones?_ga=1.170713507.226417076.1430326492Originally, Hot Bargain Phones told us all the phones came with a six-month Apple warranty. Unfortunately they've now told us they made a mistake and not every phone will, so if you get an Apple warranty it's a bonus.====0 -
They rang me back. I've had my refund. I think there were problems with the website when I ordered that caused problems with payments (couldn't pay with credit card, paypal payments going awry).
However, customer service has been pretty unproffessional. I decided not to go ahead with the order; if putting in the order to begin with is this problematic, then what will it be like if I had to contact them if there was a problem with the phone?
I have decided to just buy new....(from reputable retailer)

Glad you've got your money back too, I think PayPal are pretty safe for purchases. This is the second time I've had to claim a refund through them, and both times it was quickly resolved to my satisfaction.
Lesson learned here for me though; if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -
Update: refund came through this morning as did an email from them to confirm it had been done.
Would be interested to eat from anyone who's had a good experience with them?0 -

This is exactly what it sounded like! When he answered the phone he just said "Hello?", and sounded confused when I asked if this was Hot Bargain Phones (what a name!).
It really sounds like its just some bloke running a business out of his back room at home, rather than a 'big company', as it's described in Martins email. :rotfl:0 -
I prefer the Craft Bargain Store one often quoted as Crafty Bargains Store !:DThis is exactly what it sounded like! When he answered the phone he just said "Hello?", and sounded confused when I asked if this was Hot Bargain Phones (what a name!).

It does seem to be a one man operating from home with no employees quotedIt's not just about the money0 -
Glad I can't give any "good experience". Wouldn't want to be eaten!0

And I ordered one from Amazon yesterday afternoon, which has just been delivered. A little more money, but entirely worthwhile and a lot cheaper than a new one.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0
