Just open a dispute regarding the transaction on the Paypal website, it's quite easy to do. Log in and go to the 'help centre'. You then contact the seller via Paypal, stating that they have not supplied the goods or responded to your emails. Paypal will then give them chance to rectify the situation, but if it is not resolved by the seller in that timeframe Paypal will refund you. I had my refund within 20 minutes of opening a dispute with them.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

Well it took two weeks and several emails, until they finally sent me a BROKEN phone! God knows how long it will take to sort, but I won't be listening to MSE ever again! I had to get a new sim that fitted the new iPhone too, and my old one has been deactivated so now I can't use any phone until they sort it (if they even respond) Terrible company!0

3 pages of mostly tales of woe, all stemming from an MSE recommendation.
Only people noticeable by their absence is MSE themselves, who started this thread.
Shot themselves in the foot with this one I think, and illustrates so clearly how it is now a financial operation in it for profit above everything else, riding on the back of the original money saving empire successfully built by it's now very wealthy founder.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. I sent a PM to MSE Nick, the starter of this thread, as soon as I started to have concerns. I never received a reply.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

I got an email this morning saying they had cancelled my order and have given me a refund - no apology just a one sentence email..... to be honest I'm glad they didn't try to sort it out and send another phone, sounds like a lot of them don't work, I know its a refurb phone but at £280 you still expect them to work at least! Glad I'm out of it.....
Good luck to everyone else on getting your money back..... should've listened to Martins advice... if its sounds too good to be true it probably is..... will be taking the weekly emails with a big pinch of salt from now on. Such a shame.....0 -
***DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY***
Finally gave up on receiving this on Saturday morning (having taken 4 days of bullsh1t 'it will be with you tomorrow') so went straight to paypal, opened a dispute to cancel the transaction.
In the meantime I ordered a 64gb from an ebay seller with great feedback for £20 more than the 'Bargin phones' one. The ebay phone arrived and is as good as new. Totally faultless.
However I have had to chase all week for my paypal refund. Firstly Bargin Phones replied to paypal giving the same bullsh1t tracking number they gave me the previous Tuesday, which still showed as not yet with RM. So I had to open a further case with Paypal. After calling bullsh1t phones again today 'Katie' promised me that this had been dispatched on Wednesday. I queried this as: 1. I had asked for a refund on Saturday; 2. The RM tracking number still showed as not with RM; 3. It had not been delivered.
Finally this afternoon, 16 days after ordering on the back of the tip from Martin 'on a commission' Lewis :money: bullsh1t phones had to admit that they had never sent it and refunded me.
I am now going to click on the 'report' button at the bottom left of this post in the hope that someone from Martin Lewis has the decency to reply to the angry posters on this forum and explain how they could possibly have recommended such a unreliable bunch of cowboys.

UPDATE FROM ME ABOUT MY 128GB SPACE GRAY IPHONE 6.
I ordered mine on the wedspnsday and had it the following Tuesday. Would of been Monday had it not been a bank holiday.
Finally got a charge in the phone (after getting power turned back on.... It tripped out. Not due to phone).
Has worked flawlessly since as it should. Glass screen not a mark, back had 1little scuff but really not bad.
Very pleased with phone.
Yes the guys are Mickey Mouse. And don't have a clue about decent customer service. I think there are far more happy endings out their but just not written about. Would I order from them again..... Possibly yes.0 -
Hi all,
Sorry to hear some of you are having problems with your orders. We have made Hot Bargain Phones aware of all the concerns in this thread and it is monitoring it along with us.
Please remember it can take up to seven working days from receipt of payment before your handset arrives. In a very small number of cases Paypal payments have been delayed after being put under review by Paypal, before being confirmed as paid to Hot Bargain Phones.
Please call 020 8598 8645, or email bargainphones@gmx.com if you still haven't heard back within this timescale. Hot Bargain Phones has assured us that it is responding to all calls and emails.
Thanks,
MSE Nick0 -
Trouble - Hot Bargain Phones / Crafts Bargain Corner Ltd
Unfortunately, following Martin's post, I have tried to buy 2 x refurbished IPhone 6 64GB. I had difficulties ordering them, they then took the order twice and credited one of them back.
Having successfully placed the order for two - ONLY one has been delivered. I have written to them, emailed them and tried calling their number. Absolutely no response barring one e-mail saying it has been delivered, despite paying them £919.91. Fortunately had it delivered to my work, and opened the box in front of other people - The invoice says two - but only one was delivered!!
I am now looking into the best way at getting the court involved.0
