Well done on line drying Delain.
I have never heard of anyone not putting washing on the line because of dark and cold before!
My washing goes out most days all year round. It does not dry so well outdoors in the colder months but still had a good airing. I then bring it in and hang on airers overnight. Dry the next morning. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
I love love having washing on the line. Small pleasures. Do you make your O.H breathe in the smell of it when you bring it in or is that just me?
This is my second out this week
I always have a good sniff of the washing when it comes in off the line - best smell ever
Although I did once poke the corner of a towel in my eye when doing this and it really hurt :rotfl:. 0 -
I hate using the tumble drier. I find the the resulting high pitched whirring from the spinning dials on the electricity meter rather unsettling.0

Why wouldn't you put it out in the winter? It'll get dry still with the wind, no matter the temperature.I can't add up.0

It always lifts my spirits when I can peg my washing out and it actually dries rather than hangs there looking gloomy! The birds are also pretty noisy today and I've got the windows open to give the house a good blow through - it feels like spring is on it's way

I've never stopped putting it out, except, obviously, when it's raining *puzzled*0

Am I the only one that puts my washing out even if it's raining? The washing's already wet, and a bit of rain's not going to do it much harm... then I can be lazy when it's not raining and not bother putting it out - because it's already there.I can't add up.0
