Afternoon!
Not posted in a couple of days, dont think any were sfd's but very lsd's, spent 75p yest, and today will be a sfd. Taking me to 13, i think.
Done all my April budgets, my months the same as Fmess and goes from the 25th to the 24th.
Things are going to be tight in April for the 1st couple of weeks, but worth it to not increase the debt.
We did some decluttering on the weekend, clothes mainly, sent one bag to charity shop yesterday, one bag to sil for my nephew.
I'm still reading mmm, im into 2012 now,i'm under no illusion that i'll get to retire early, but it just makes me think in a different way, which i like.
Weather is crazy here 2, wind, rain, hail and sun!!!Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Hi All,
Sorry been MIA for most of this month although I have been reading every post.
After a lot of hassle dealing with all the different companies and trying to get full and final settlements from them all I am now officially DEBT FREE. :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
In the process I managed to save a good deal off the amount by offering reduced settlement figures. At first I felt a bit bad about this as I had incurred the debt BUT they have already charged me extortionate amounts of interest over the years so I have stopped beating myself up over it.
I need to add in my last few receipts to get my final figures but I'm sure I'm under budget on everything except SFD's which were a disaster  I seem to work better shopping little but often.
Need to spend a little time taking stock of everything so think I may sit out the April challange. Sorry FMESS it looks a good one but I just need a little breathing space. I will cheer everyone on from the sidelines though.
I will be back with a vengeance in May.

Hello All
Well last post of the month today. I have managed 11 NSDs this month which is not bad at all. Thanks for keeping me on the straight and narrow all.
Well today was another busy one. I think trade is definately being boosted by lots of stray dads being around this week, I think people are taking the week off so they get extra days around the bank holiday. It wasnt as awful as monday though in terms of spacing of the business, so I managed to clean & bake ok as well. I worked out tonight that I only need to take £53 a day from here to rent day now to make the total, & as the last two days have been £175, I am feeling quite happy about that figure.
One thing I may do is on Sunday, hire a zipcar & do a really big shop. This would save me doing everything day to day, which I am at the moment out of habit of managing an extreemly tight cash flow. But with things looking good I would love to stock up the work fridge and then know what I have for the week.
I had an incredible bit of news this afternoon as well. Last summer just before we closed, I registered us with a location scout regarding possible filming work. Anyway, today I got an email to say that they have a client who specifically asked to film at my place, & the talent scout is coming first thing tommorow. Guys, the rate they have quoted me is £1,000 to £1,500. For an 8 to 8 filming day. If this comes off, I will cry. Never landed anything this big before, most I've made is the odd £100 here and there for birthday parties. So please think of me tommorow. That sort of money would be an enormous help in paying for cover whilst Im having bump, which I am already slightly worrying over.
Other things.
1. OH got paid, so I paid off £120 from the CCs. Am hoping to do more, but have to see about how the above goes.
2. Found 2p.
3. Got £4 tips.
4. Todays & tommorows child care is free due to mix up yesterday.
5. Packed sons lunch for camp tommorow.
6. Transferred sisters birthday money (late but she knew it would be, card was on time)
7. Tallied up all card & cash payments into both accounts. Ticked off reciepts.
8. Updated both business & personal spend spreadsheets.
9. Used brand match coupon for 60p this morning
10. Have now completed 4 out of 5 £30 shops at Sains, so should get the extra 2,000 bonus points offered.
Off for a soak in the bath now. Night all.

SFD today but not yesterday. Mad weather here and internet keeps going down. So tired, starting to wonder if it is yet another bug as shoulders and upper body are aching and just cannot get on with things. Even getting the bins to the end of the back was a struggle and have stayed indoors since (grabbed all the semi-dry washing off the line as it went so dark I had to put the lights on.
Today I am grateful for the wind whipping my washing nearly dry, for my hooded dressing gown (jumper I was wearing is disgusting and everything else warm is still drying) and for good books and not having to be anywhere (toddled to post box with a couple of letters). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
I posted earlier but something must have eaten it up.
Bob glad to hear business is doing well.
Spent again today, milk and fruit needed.
Thinking of given up wine for April? Can I do it!!!! And the diet will be happening.

Have already fessed up to blowing all budgets bar fuel this month in an earlier post, but even managed to blow that on Sunday! Bagged a last SFD yesterday thogh, bringing total to 11 - quite impressive if you ignore the fact my target was 20 lol!
Stayed out of mad wind and weather today but still spent courtesy of online grocery shop, but will be counting it in April budget as payday was last Friday.

Fmess sorry I totally forgot to respond to you! Yes.. biting her wrists. They are a disgusting brown and blue this morning. Nursery are looking into it for me but assure me all kids do something. Nursery nurses own son banged his head repeatedly on a radiator. :rotfl: kids...
CEW Congratulations!!! What a fabulous feeling that must be! Don't feel guilty, at the end of the day they gave you what they would be happy with and you paid it. Up to them why they are happy taking less than the full amount!!
This weather... yeeesh. Nearly blowing us away. Am feeling quite thankful that the council have nobbled every tree in the town down to giant stumps!

Oh no!! Poor Kat!! I was wondering why there hadn't been a update on her blog for a while. I hope she is on the mend now.
Hugs.
Erm... OH's friends came up at the weekend which destroyed our food budget.
I stupidly still seem to be trying to keep up with the joneses, so to speak.
We ended up using over £100 of the xmas pot... it will be repayed in April. I am not proud of what we did but I didn't want OH to feel like he couldn't do stuff with his friends. He moved up here to be with me and doesn't see anyone that often.
Ended up with an extra two spend-free days. Up to seventeen now thanks to Monday and Tuesday.
Getting ready for April which is going to be a challenge. Fingers crossed that it goes better than March.
Hugs to everyone.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91
