Well, hello to all the Marching Turtles, old and new. Just to let you know, I'll be around today, but on the weekends my appearances (esp on the 1st) might be sporadic due to child commitments and I'm usually only online on my phone if at all. If I haven't numbered anyone by Sunday I will definitely catch up on Monday when I'm back at work. We'll see how the weekend pans out.
Love the start of a new challenge when I'm all motivated etc. Plus the improving wheather helps too. Already started opening the curtains earlier as soon as there is enough light and switching the lights off. Also turning the thermostat not as high. Still have to learn to switch the oven off before the food is ready and use the rest warmth to save energy. Will start my first declutter mission tonight.

Hello Thriftylass and everyone else. I haven't been in the forum for a while but I need to embrace back again these challenges to keep me on track. Please do count me for the March challenge. By the way, my husband asked me to go out drinking but I said no, and staying in.
Thank you.No debts 🙌0 -

Hi everyone
Had some good news for a change today. My gas & electric monthly payment has down to £31 a month, I know I'm frugal with it but I certainly don't go cold and live in the dark!! It must be the solar panels and the fleeces!!!
Anyway budgets for March
Grocery = 0/80
Fuel = 0/60
Misc = 0/10
Sfd = 0/15

Thanks thriftylass!!
So I am keeping most budgets the same except my NSDs I seriously struggled last month so it's down to 15 this month from 18.
I am going to declutter my kitchen and flat tomorrow and all about decluttering my mind. I feel so much better now I have a job so hopefully can concentrate on that and not spend so much as I imagine I will have a severe lack of free time.
With a lack of money as well I will not make any payment to my debts until 24th (pay day) where I will try to put £1k but will see how I go.
Looking forward to another month with you guys!! Good luck!!NST March #13: NSD 6/13, Travel £25/£40, Social £6/£200, Food £25/£60, Exercise 2/15
Debts - £1,000/£10,000
Aim to be debt free by end of 2015!

Right, here goes with the budget. I've been quietly putting away nearly £400 a month without realising it.
Have just tried to up it for this month to make things challenging. The £30 I won't be saving from the C Tax is going on haircuts for me and Jelly this month. I can only really do this this month due to combination of C Tax and a slight increase in my tax credits for the final month.
Ready to rumble!!
SFD: 0/18
Money to Savings: £395/£395 (usual savings) £63/£93 (C Tax bill savings) £82/£82 (child benefit for Jelly - save for her) TOTAL: £540.00
Groceries: £0/£130
Household: £0/£10
Toiletries: £0/£5
Summer holiday: None planned. Day trips possible but will come from usual budget.
Lunch made myself: 0/31
Treat after 26th: £0/£10

Just lost my post.
No. 19 calling in.
Anyway just wishing everyone luck for March, should be my first sfd as I'm working all day, but I will have to look at the milk situation.

Hi everyone!
Struggling to set my budgets at the moment as I am really unsure how my interview/assessment went. If I pass then I will have to go back again in a weeks time and will have to factor that into the budget. I will get some back in expenses, but not all of it. For now I will set my budgets at:
Shopping: £200
Fuel: £140
Holiday payment : £700
Will aim for 15 SFDs. Only managed 14 in Feb and am starting to get a bit frustrated with all the little spends!
Can't wait to get March out of the way as I am hoping to be able to clear my debts in April.0
