oh thanks will look at that;)
if it helps, MCE seats are about £85 per person (depending on route) for a wider seat with 6" (ish) more legroom.
If I've got it correct, baggage allowance and inflight meals/drinks are exactly the same as Economy.
So if its primarily extra space that you're, MCE seems to be very good value.
Going via Dublin will really eat into your holiday time, at the beginning and the end, as you'll need to alllow PLENTY of time for your connections. For a 7 hour flight, as nice as Business Class is, be sure to measure things in terms of value, rather than cost.
Your 7 hour flight back to England could easily become 12hours +0 -

MCE is only available on AA operated flights, so flights that are operated by BA, Iberia, Finn, US Airways etc on codeshare don't have it available.
Your description of economy with extra legroom (wider seats ?) isn't that far wide of the mark.0 -

MCE works out over £600 more expensive from UK than BA WT+ from Dublin so think we will stick with BA but thanks for the info anyway;)0 -

No worries. I hope that it all works out well for you
When I did the DUBlin shuffle, but the time I'd added 4 x Ryanair Flights x 2, 4 x Ryanair luggage x 2, an extra night in a hotel, plus losing a days holiday in America and extending my flight back by over 5 hours. Flying via Dublin sadly lost its shine for me.
Do you mean flying AA MCE LHR -NYC is £600 per person more than BA WT+ DUB - NYC. If so, my flabbers are truly gasted.0 -
Thanks for all the advice I would never of thought of Dublin but the savings are into the 1000's seems mad for us to fly to Dublin to then fly back to LHR but if it works cheaper
we going to book WT+ from Dublin my dates should be available in 8 days time so i will keep watching as don't want to miss the cheapest fares:) will sort out how we will get to Dublin later on. thanks again everyone you have saved me a fortune.
BA bookings on US/AA planes out of Dublin are throwing up very cheap business class fares again.0
