Price up business class from Dublin.
Might be worth a positioning flight.

IMHO the service on Virgin is leagues ahead of what is offered on BA.
BA
Virgin

You will sometimes find that PE out of London cost a similar amount as business class out of Dublin.looking to fly premium economy really
You don't want to fly PE if you can get business class for the same price!
Not always convenient time wise getting yourself to Dublin. But our summer flights are costing £3k for three of us business class. Booking today we'd pay more for PE out of London.0 -
Have flown the route on both a couple of times and found the service and entertainment on the Virgin flights better, though they also, both times I flew with them, overbooked the flight.0

BA for the more generous hand baggage allowance (although that's economy/WT, I don't know about PE/WT+)2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

WT+ to Newark would be my choice. brand new shiny planes operating that route and on the whole I prefer the service BA's crews offer.0

If I was flying to Oz, the Far East or the west coast of the US I would tend to agree but since New York is only a 7 hour flight I'm not sure it would be worth the extra time and hassle in going via DUB. 7 hours in World Traveller Plus is bearable. 12 hours is more of a challenge.
Unless of course you are chasing Executive Club status with BA where flying Club via DUB (hey that rhymes!) is a great way of earning extra Tier Points.0
