No Viewings on house in 2 Mths

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-32892258.html

Can anyone tell me what is offputting about these property particulars?
I have not had a viewing in 2 mths of being on rightmove but others have sold.

Price, which others sold for what?
  • The empty rooms need furniture in, even if to make it look homely temporarily to get people through the door.

Aside from the outside being quite plain I think the house looks really nice.

Price-wise you also look expensive. Brand-new ones up for £425k in the local area plus this one (which is ugly and dated) is detached and a similar size for a cheaper price: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-48872534.html

    kitchen looks really nice.

Those HUGE trees in the back garden make it look dark and shaded.

    Living room looks odd.

First picture doesn't look very inviting - no fence separating it from neighbours property, snd very concretey.

Seems quite expensive for a semi.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

The living room looks long and thin and the sofa is facing a blank wall.

I don't think the photo makes it look homely or very livable in.

Sorry, but that pic alone would put me off.

None of the photos are particularly flattering really, maybe some new ones are required
  • The problem is the poor presentation. Hire a house dresser. I wouldn't know where to start trying to explain the problems to you.

Reading the description, this says to me that I'm going to have to rip out and replace the bathroom straight away:
GROUND FLOOR BATHROOM Feature bathroom complete with original 1960's Suite comprising panelled bath, pedestal wash hand basin and low level w.c. Obscure double glazed window to side aspect. Radiator. Tiled flooring. Part tiled walls. Plastered ceiling.

The living room looks unloved and dreary, how am I supposed to watch the TV when all the furniture is down the other end of the room and the settee is facing the wall?

The kitchen is obviously new but I can't quite put my finger on why I don't really like it. I think its the far end I don't like, it seems confused, like it can't decide whether to be a study or a dining room or something else.

What is picture 14 all about? In fact none of the pictures (except maybe the kitchen ones) are particularly good.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Rather expensive compared to other 3 bed semi's in a 3 mile radius.

Photo's don't do the property any favours. Picture of the stairs makes them look very steep.

Large conifers round back garden a big minus. Strange layout of furniture in living room.

OTOH kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom look nice.

If you are not getting viewing at all problem is likely to be price.
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

  • The living room is laid out very oddly; sofa and armchair at one end, tv all the way at the other. It makes me think there isn't space for a more comfortable set up, and that's quite offputting.
It doesn't look particularly inviting to be honest, I couldn't picture myself living there because it doesn't seem very homely.

And picture 14: I think your estate agent fancies himself as M.C.Esher!
  • The living room is the biggest problem I'd say. Its long and thin and its difficult to imagine how you could furnish it so that the whole space would be usable and comfortable.

Also, the sofa in the dining room is a bit odd, would anyone ever sit on it? It'd look better as a nicely presented dining area with a bigger table.
