Clearly some on here don't know their rights either. As said a number of times now, the onus is on the OP to prove that an inherent fault exists. He can either take up PC World's offer and pay them £50 to examine it or pay an independent to do the same. Either way the OP still pays.

Personally I'd say going the PC World route will be less of an inconvenience.

OP also has no idea, they asking for replacement, but thinking about asking for refund.

Posted at least 73633257744 times about Curry's (PC World is same company) totally ignoring any consumer laws and are a law unto themselves

I guess their lawyers have just told them the maths to steamroller as much money as they can fleece from any customers vs the amount they have to pay back through court costs from those that can be bothered to take them to court is more profitable than adhering to the law

    It is a fact

Just doesn't endear the company to customers

Even stranger is just how many numpties continue to buy stuff from Curry's/ / PC World
When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

No, it's the secret EU law where every company must bend over backwards and immediately replace something that goes faulty at any time ever.
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
    Now 20% cooler
