Maybe they've decided that their efforts are better spent on the "angle du jour".

Does an "angler du jour" lead to "fish of the day"?

The CAA have just blown Jet2's 2 year time bar out of the water. they have unequivecally stated that they do NOT agree with jet2's claim to a 2 year limitation and say they will take jet2 to court if they don't start complying with the legislation.

The More judgement was 3 years ago, which confirmed it wasn't 2 years.
It was backed up last year on the Dawson case at the UK CoA and Supreme Court.
The CAA are now talking about seeking an undertaking from the airlines to stick to this rule, and *only then* if they don't stick to the undertaking, will they commence Court Action. Which could be many more months.
The CAA just don't get it. People have had enough already. Time for action is NOW.

The point is that whether the CAA have started proceedings or not its a powerful argument to put before any judge that the national body overseeing the airlines don't agree with their position regarding this.

Worth noting that the CAA stated unequivocally a while back that they did not agree with Thomson (when they stated 2 years to claim limits at passengers) but did absolutely nothing about it.
The above is just my opinon - which counts for nowt! You must make up your own mind.

A Wizz Air spokesman told the BBC: "The UK CAA is well aware that Wizz Air is re-assessing these cases and has confirmed to the UK CAA itself, some time ago, that it will apply the UK CAA's own list of extraordinary circumstances in the relevant cases."

That wouldn't be the defunked NEB Wishlist would it, the one pre Huzar ? It's about time the CAA withdrew that list, it's been disgraced in the Allen case, it has no value whatsoever..
