Yes, I use my SC for everything far more ecomomical then using the oven.
Google bread in slow cooker for some good sites, I can't post a link as your not allowed, you make up dough, prove in SC on low setting then after 1 hour cook on high for 1.30 and then check... Great for leaving and doing other things.
I also do slow cooker rice pudding, cakes and roast chicken. I have a mint lamb shoulder defrosting ready for cooking tomorrow while at work with some chickpeas and tinned tomatoes, a hand full of herbs and spices then will cook the rice when I get in.....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. Im in a reflective mood, after my incident yesterday I haven't been able to make it further then the kitchen and the bathroom, so I suppose not being able to get out, or even bother to get out of PJS
its dawned on me I have had 4 NSD!! its nearly the end of May, and looking my net worth on YNAB I am only minus £486, which is great as when I started properly with YNAB there was 3k difference between my savings and my debts...
Although something is niggling me, I am loving potting coins and seeing them add up on here and YNAB, hearing the chink as I drop them into my terramundi pots but, today I have been reading a few diaries and I feel I maybe doing things back to front, higglety piggilety, I have debts but I am not focusing on them but on my coin pottage and getting my totals up...
as much as I love doing this, I think I may have to focus my efforts on my credit card debts!!! but that seems far too adult and not so much fun....
mmmm maybe I have done too much thinking my brain is confuddled,

Hey you
I've always been one to pay down the debt until I could start building it up the other way. It worked for me, but most of my debt was interest bearing. If I had a 0% card that covered the whole debt I wouldn't have been so worried. However you also have to think of when the 0% runs out, even if you can get another 0% deal, you're still paying a switching fee.
How much debt are you talking? The £486 or that plus the amount that is in the pots? And what are the interest rate(s) on each chunk?
Grown up as it may seem, you'll find saving a lot more fun when you aren't balancing it against debt. In that way it is *real* savings.
Hope your hip/leg aren't too achey today? I am off out soon to stomp the streets. Have had such a bad day I just need to get out and walk until something clicks in my brain and I feel better. I foresee an early night coming on.
Night poppet. Hope you sleep better xxx

thanks for the quick drop in illty,
I have £1300 on a interest bearing credit card.
Just paid off a credit card that 0% finished on tuesday, (just have last weeks petrol on it)
I then have a big chunk on 0% until January 2017.
I have arguments sake easy numbers 8k in debt and 7.5k in savings, including my coin stash - which is where the £486 comes from....
Im not worried about the 0% as I will have money from regular saver(s) maturing to pay this off....
Im not sure if I should just pay off my CC with the 2k sitting in TSB, logic says I should but then I dont want to "lose" that savings....
I have xmas and birthdays covered with my pots in YNAB so I dont need the money I suppose affectively the money in TSB is my emergency fund, but I suppose if I paid off my CC the credit limit could also be my emergency fund If I needed to it be....
I also have a OD I can use that costs my £15 a month, which would work out cheaper then the interest the credit card is charging...
mmm what to do....
I have potted my payrise into my pension so thats already gone, and am now potting 7% of my pay into it... Not sure I will increase it any more as I have now hit the barrier with the company contributions of 13%...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards.
