    Ahoy!!

Sorry for the lack of check in. I have been on the 'new' forum for over a year alpha testing it and reporting back to MSE so I am well used to it although the format has changed a few times. I don't like how it goes to Unread messages before my subscriptions now when I click on the little icon at the top left. It used to be straight to those! Now it is 2 clicks every time.

re fitbit: I am not sure how it will work with crutches in recording your steps and whether that would confuse it. It seems to use the vibration through my body from each step to mark it. The crutches would add in a couple extra vibrations...

Great for sleep but there is an app for that that you leave under your pillow while charging and does the same thing and even records if you make noise in the night lol.

I am a watch freak and have half a dozen so that is another reason I love mine. :D

Yay for new painkillers to try. I remember when mine finally started doing something, with the addition of the amitriptyline. Fab stuff!

    Hey Lilty,

I was given gabapentin as I have tried amitriptyline, so lets see if that works, in regard to the crutches I am only using one atm as its not too cold so was thinking of wearing it on the wrist that Im not holding the crutch in and on the days Im having a bad enough day to use both I will be driving anyway so no steps would be counted!!!!

I too feel naked without a watch and am currently sporting a fossil watch from 2001, I have a few watches including my diving watch which I could use as a day to day watch but I put it away with my dive kit so its only used while diving....

thanks again for your concern, its still at the shop atm as when I got back home after the doctors for a coffee it was time to go back out again for brownies....

    :-)

Maybe it wouldn't figure it out. You have to tell fitbit whether you have it on your dominant hand or not... So maybe that would desensitise it slightly to the crutch? xx

So how was my BH Sunday....

Got woken up at 6:30 am by a nascent barking of a dog that sounded like it was right outside my window (cant have been as I'm on the second floor) so I couldn't get back to sleep again so ended up watching catch up tv Bear Grills Island - those ladies and gents are so brave - sticking out with fishing and knifing pigs in the eyes....

I then had a day out at Butlins Bognor as they had a charity fundraiser weekend on where entry for the day was £2 so went with a gaggle of children and parents that I know, so was a good but tiring day, in and out the pool, riding the rides over and over again as the kids were too small to ride alone so it was a case of swopping over a child each time, I must say I did feel dizzy after the third go on the flying chairs....

I then came home to a slow cooked chicken fillets and tomato base, with spinach lovely, (spinach was added when I got back in) and now I am catching up on the diaries trying my hardest not to fall asleep as it far too early to do so just yet...

all I say I'm glad my weekend has been extended and I can chill tomorrow sleep or no sleep, keeping a tabs on all the diaries will keep me entertained....

hope all you westerners are well and dandy and keeping any germs to yourselves....

will catch up when I more interesting news to share,...

    Adios

I was woken up in a similar way this morning Westie - at 7.30am a car was tooting it's horn (it wasn't the car alarm - it sounded like when someone is picking someone up and wants to let them know they're there) Glad it wasn't 6.30 though!! I'd set my alarm for 8.00am this morning so I only lost 30 mins!! You'd think people would be a bit more considerate on a BH Sunday though wouldn't you??!!

    Hello Westieners,

Today is Tuesday the bank holiday weekend is over :0(

It's ridiculously early and I have struggled to sleep last night was awake till gone 3am this is not that abnormal as I do struggle to sleep most nights but today I am awake ready to go back to the hospital,

I wonder if the transport will turn up on time? And if it will be the same driver that I had on Wednesday...

I'm hoping that I get some good news when I do get there as this appointment is with the nerve doctor having a three month check up after my surgery I had in January, I'm hoping he will tell me that my nerve pain will get easier as the months go on, some days it's easier then others...

I have not managed to pot any coins this weekend but I haven't had a chance to spend any money as butlins was paid for me...

I think it time for a coffee shot to keep me going,

Hope everyone has a good Tuesday whatever the day brings...

Will catch up with you all soon

    Westie983.
