Ooh Leicester not far at all, my mum spent a lot of time living there :) and yes I grew up visiting some fab places in Derbyshire. The peaks on school trips, Matlock with my parents on summer weekends. Good memories!

I don't tend to sit on beaches Westie regardless of the sand/pebble ratio. I can't get back up :p there is a lovely sandy beach within walking distance of home, the other side of the local harbour. I will be taking Jelly this summer as she is finally able to get the idea about a bucket and a spade and there is a shedload of gold still buried under there from the artists exhibit last year! ;)

Well what a difference a few hours makes....

I am feeling better then I did over the weekend, but got sent home from work earlier as I couldn't count the money to the customers and kept losing my voice every transaction, like i dreaded I think I have laryngitis and the only cure for that is voice rest.

I went to the doctors after being sent home to try and get a doctors appointment but was told I would have to ring in betweeen 8 - 9 tomorrow to get a triage call then they can make an appointment, I tried to tell them that as you can hear my voice isn't too strong and telephone calls are not practical right now to be told thats how it works... so off I popped back home, via the butcher as I normally finish work too late so thought I would take the opportunity to grab some more meat for my slow cooker especially as I'm still suffering with my legs, its a lot easier to set going and leave, I left with three trays of chicken breasts for £20 and a BOGOF of lamb chops, so I have spent the last half hours dividing them into freezer bags to put straight into the freezer.

I now have to wait till tomorrow to try and get a doctors appointment but as much as I'm hoping he just says its a virus cold Im also sure he will say laryngitis and that means at least a week of work, the issue with this is I am now on half pay sick pay due my extended sick leave after my hip replacement so I will only be getting half the pay I would do if I was working but I suppose if i can't count out money and speak to customers I can't affectively do my job....

ho hum will have to budget like made to see if I can get my way out of this, (Yay for Dave Ramseys emergency fund idea)

so bit of a mixture type of day, I'm now going to do some potting of my change collected and try and balance YNAB, add a sick pay category...

hummingbird Close indeed! Folkestone. My in-laws live in Deal and I moved here for love. ;) then had to swiftly move to Folkey for financial reasons. Namely I couldn't afford the trains to work and to eat!

Westie sorry you are feeling so rough still hun. And big bum to only being on half sick pay. That sucks! Then again, at my work we don't get any sick pay :( big yay for the emergency funds. Mine will be invaluable in many a circumstance!

Enjoy payday on YNAB and no red ;) hope you can make it squeak. I spent £80 in the space of a couple of hours today and none of it was budgeted but needs must unfortunately.

Hope you feel better tomorrow, can get a docs appt and it isn't laryngitis!

Just got back from the doctors, I have been diagnosed with laryngitis, :-(

this not the news I wanted to hear, I am unable to do my job as I am unable to speak and apparently its a side effect of the cold virus but doesn't happen to everyone... (Im just the one who does)

I have therefore been via the supermarket to get chocolate to make me feel better, bottles of water to soothe my throat, *why is it taste a lot better bottled when you have a cold... so I potted the change which was £3.63, when I say potted I added to the change to make it to £4 so I could put into the pot...

every penny counts, now home to the slow cooker which is cooking me a chicken curry, the chicken bought from the butcher yesterday....

chicken curry eaten and put in the fridge for the next couple of days, today has been a good day on the MSE front - first of all I managed to get myself three red peppers for 5p each and a packet of biscuits that had been dropped for 32p, I have chopped and blitzed the red peppers into a pulp and put into the freezer to be added to my next slow cooker creation. I am working my way through the biscuits as I type..

I then went onto another supermarket to get some diet cokes and found a few bits, namely some more flavouring sachets to add to my slow cooker, when i decided to check a cashback site, and I saw a offer for a variety pack of crisps x6 with a cash back amount of £1.50 so went to see if I could see them on the shelves to find they are on offer for £1.00 a pack!!!!!

So I am being paid 50p for 6x variety pack of crisps!!! so I checked the T&C and looks like I could claim up t0 6 times so I bought 6 packs so 36 packet of crisps cost me £6.00 and my cutback has tracked at £9.00...

I have given three packets to my neighbour who has just had a baby girl and has a eight year old, so done my bit for charity...

I come back to unpack to see that quidco has not only tracked todays purchases but also tracked my energy comparison quote I did on friday as my nan is thinking of switching when her deal expires.. so its been a good day for bargains, not such a good day for the voice or the cough....

need to find a way to substitute my income while I'm off sick, my have to have another go a fleabay....

That's amazing lilt we really have done a swap from Derbyshire to/from Kent!! It's not out of the realms of possibility that I may move back to Kent at some point. I've started thinking about it (and of course the sea would be an added bonus!!)

Aww Westie so sorry about that laryngitis!! Get well sooooooon!!!!!!
And I may join you with some fleabay!
