Hope you're feeling better today. LOL at you and your sisters getting 60 presents between you. My mums present to my dad (amongst the real ones) was a free buss pass application form and some saga holiday leaflets it backfired on her as dad filled out the application at the dinner table in the pub we were celebrating in and has been using his bus pass to get to the pub ever since :rotfl:

come round have a coffee party and then we can walk dogs, children, cats, scooters and anything else down the promenade buy the beach...

as the cold goes it back with vengeance today, i now have the hacking cough which means I am coughing every millisecond it seems and even waking myself up at night....

today i travelled to London to go to my cousins 5th birthday party, I am thankful that the head cold had gone and so I could cope with a bunch of 5 year old singing happy birthday at the top of their lungs. The birthday boy lucked out with Lego Star War lots of sets and some playmobil summer fun bits which adds to what we bought for him last year....

I am now sitting in bed catching up on diaries coughing away, must remember to get petrol and tissues on the way to work tomorrow, yay for payday in three hours.... can't wait to balance YNAB too many reds for my liking....

Ooh a coffee party and a walk on the prom sounds so good Westie! I haven't been to the seaside for Soooooooooo long!! I grew up very near the coast and am now landlocked, probably almost as far away as it is possible to be in the UK!!

Didn't get a day trip to give me my seaside fix last year so must do it this year!!:money::money:

nothing tastes better then a cone of chips on the end of the pier watching the sea lap up into big waves and then receding back out, sand between your toes and splash splashing in the tide... No mention of those pesky seagulls though they are not on my good list....

Ooh hummingbird where are you out of interest as we appear to have swapped places. I was born and grew up on the Notts/Derbyshire borders which is also about as landlocked as you can get, and now live by the lovely seaside!

Not much sand here though Westie. I think I prefer the pebbles. They dry a lot quicker and you can remove them from places they shouldn't be far quicker if they ever get there

Not a fan of chips though

I'm in Leicestershire Lilt, so very close to where you were - and I've lived in beautiful Derbyshire too (which I love) - but sure do miss the sea!!

I am lucky my local beach is sand but only 30mins from Brighton pebble beach as much as I agree with sand where it shouldn't be, its a lot easier on the bum sitting on sand then pebbles, one up your bum isn't fun and you can't get a good enough "groove" in pebbles....

I don't mind chips on a rare occasion normally when I'm hosting friends from the towns and what you call landlocked areas, they love the beach life
