Sent an email on Tuesday politely asking why I hadn't been contacted and saying we need the money.
Received my invitation this morning - coincidence or what?

What email address did you use to contact them directly?

Sent an email today asking for an update as the last communication I had was in April - we'll see how long it takes for any sort of response!

Not strictly email, I used the contact us option on the HMRC site. I realised it wouldn't go to exactly where it was aimed but hoped they would forward it.

I registered when it first came about. Got the one with the link to verify but couldn't because I have no driving licence or passport. Then the email disappeared so have registered again with another email. Heard nothing apart from the acknowledgement email for two months.
I'm stressed enough over this - please don't add to it.

Success for me today Hurrah. After registering in February, I finally got the email link today. At first none of the companies would verify, and the link sent me back to HMRC and I was asked to enter my P60 details. I still couldn't be verified, so was then instructed to telephone. After speaking to the robotic voice giving all my details, I was put through to a real live person who answered after one ring. A delightful young man took about 4 minutes to sort it and we are now both awaiting new tax codes. I am in shock how fast it was finally dealt with.

hmmm....still haven't found out if to qualify you have to be a basic-rate taxpayer and/or have a salary of under 42385. Pension scheme contributions make me basic rate, but impending rise will put salary a couple of quid over 42385....anyone found out yet??
