RAC foundation are NOT the RAC, the RAC sat at the table and helped the BPA sculpt the ultimate sting on motorist..

Quite correct, but to be perfectly honest if it gets the issue to the top of the news agenda, as it has this morning, I don't give a flying one who or what they are.

According to the BPA (I know!), it looks like you are getting your RAC's mixed up, Mark:
The BPA’s Code of Practice for Parking on Private Land was developed in partnership with consumer and motoring organisations, including the RAC Foundation and has a robust audit and Scheme of Sanctions to ensure its members comply, thus ensuring motorists are treated more fairly than ever before.

You own a business with a car park, but you have no customers as all the spaces are taken up by people who have parked for the day and gone to town where they work.

How do you stop that happening and keep the spaces open for your genuine customers on your land?

This is hardly rocket science, you present your ticket at the check out. Works in Spain.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

To get specific advice you need to start your own thread (you have inadvertently hijacked this one)

    have a read through

and consider visiting the parking prankster

    http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/

he does a guide to such .... well worth the small fee.

    Ralph:cool:

Sorry, I wasn't after specific advice as I already have legal representation (the joy of knowing a few solicitors) just thought my experience was relevant to the topic as I am appealing on the same grounds as the RAC foundation's test case. The 'what do we think they'll do?' question was purely hypothetical as none of us (hopefully) know what goes through the minds of these companies. :rotfl: I'd even be surprised if the Parking Prankster knew at this stage whether they will continue to pursue me through the CC or if they will leave it or ask for a stay to await the outcome of the hearing or something else completely different. ;)

Works in my local M&S as well. Spend at least £5, present ticket at checkout, and get refund of parking fee. Simple.

I wonder how the owners of the park car parks are going to re-pay the people who paid the invoices.

Is it the owners of the car parks or the PPCs who will have to refund motorists?
