Credit card payment of £50 due to come out of the bank account today, leaving the total debt at 9487.21. I'd like to get rid of the £87.21 before next payday, not sure how yet, but will give it a go.Mortgage @ 03/2019: £125,000, Now: £50,378.61

Yay to weight loss!
Yay to kondo-ing!
Yay to knocking that debt down!
Yay to MeandO!!!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Thanks for the cheerleading Apple!
The kondo-ing continued last night and I filled a black bag full for the charity shop, a carrier bag for ebay and another couple of carriers of both mine and Ds's clothes for a friend in need. Some stray socks and bits got binned.
The built in wardrobe in the spare room is where I keep all of the gifts I buy for birthdays/Christmas throughout the year, so that got sorted and tidied too and some gifts compiled, ready to wrap.
I wrap Him's birthday gifts and have put the ex's ready to wrap whose birthday is at the end of the month.
The bedlinen was also kondo'd, with quite a few sheets and pillowcases now going to the charity shop - I had way too much of everything and never used half of it. The linen for my room now has a new home in one of the drawers I cleared whilst kondo-ing my clothes the other night and Ds's spare duvets are in the drawers under my bed, one of which was just shoved in the smallest spare room before, so lots of space cleared. The linen for the big spare are now in a chest of drawers in there and there are now 4 empty drawers in that room! It's amazing how much space this can free up.
Although I have done the clothes in my wardrobe, I need to tackle the *stuff* that has been chucked in top and bottom, so that's the next job, then that's my room and the large spare room done.
The 'clearing' is really helping this week. I'm a bit agitated and really can't settle this week, no idea why, probably tiredness, but nothing seems quite 'right'. I can't seem to find music I'm happy to listen to, no clothes seems quite right on, little things are annoying me, I'm on edge and I can't seem to find peace with anything. At least the clearing out of stuff is giving me focus evenings.
Tonight I'll tackle the rest of the wardrobe I think and then maybe onto the toiletries in the bathrooms. Ds's clothes were sorted a little while ago anyway, although not folded kondo-style, but I'll get round to that when he's at his Dad's one night, then that's all the clothes in the house done.
Happy hump day everyone, if anyone can shake me out of this weird mood I'm in, all suggestions welcome. I'm even annoying myself.

All that space-clearing is making me want to join in MeandO - in fact I'm going to!!!! Congrats on all you've achieved with it - having extra drawer space to move new things into is motivating me I can tell you!!:T
Can't really advise on the shifting the "not quite right" feeling - I know we can't always explain why we feel like this, and at other times we know what's triggered it - but if you have a few things up your sleeve to look forward to, however small, it may help...... hope so hun xxx£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

hey hunbun,
so good to hear you have joined us on Planet Kondo!! Sounds like you have made an amazing start, omg it frees up so much space, I honestly haven't look back, well worth doing the big initial session and from there it's just a matter of putting stuff back properly. It helps so much with being able to see what you have too instead of throwing the same stuff on the top and wearing it again etc. lol.
i am also well jel of your xmas/birthday cupboard.. i have an urge to have one of those now but have no spare cupboard nor anything to put in it lol BUT it can be one of those things on my to do list.. i secretly like the idea of buying stuff throughout the year and stashing it, especially if it has a dedicated place to be stored as otherwise i would worry about just misplacing everything and buying it all again :P i guess i have a smallllllll start in that i have a roll of happy birthday paper and about half a pack of xmas cards from last yearxx
keep going you little superstar....X- on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -

btw did you get your tax credits thingymajig? i had 2 letters today. one to confirm that renewal period thing (that we didn't understand, still don't tbh!) and the next one to confirm my award for the coming year and a prediction for 2016-2017. everything has more or less stayed exactly the same so all that fretting was pointless as usual, and my prediction for april 2016 on ward is about £80 more a month, but i expect by then Osbourne will have mucked it up xx- on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -

Hey Levi
Yeah, the tax credits have not stopped writing to me lately, I'm so confused with it all. Basically though, they have overpaid me. So are chopping bits out of my payments until October, when my new childcare costs will mean I'm no longer eligible anyway.
Oh, and Ds has the 'chickenspocks'.:(:(:(:(:(:(

I think the summary is if you're poor you'll be even poorer and if you're rich you'll be richer!!
Sorry, not a Tory fan here, but I'll behave!!
MeandO I'm so jealous of your space-clearing exercise!! I wish I had the motivation. You're doing a fab jobxxx
