    Morning all.

Excuse me AWOL-ness, I drove 'home' to my folks on Saturday afternoon as they're having O for the week for me as I'm out of childcare options and can't take time off. We hit traffic :( so the drive down was long - about 4 hours - but O was as good as gold, bless him. I had to drive back less than 24 hours later, I would've loved to stay down there for the week too (although was getting a bit stressed by the time I left!). Am missing my boy oodles though, he's not back until Sunday. :(

Anyway, I was planning on painting the lounge evenings this week to keep me busy, but my lovely 'Him' had painted the kitchen and lounge for me as a surprise by the time I got home. :D It looks lovely and I'm sooo glad I don't have to do it, I was dreading it!
He's going to tile my kitchen for me soon too. :D
So, instead I shall be literally dragging everything out of every cupboard I have in the house, sorting and ordering it. I'm a little excited to have tidy clutter-free cupboards!

My Mum so very kindly gave me money for the toll and £40 for diesel. They are so good to me. :heart2::heart2:

Have had a few spends, but haven't updated YNAB as no internet access down at my parents' house and haven't stopped since I got home. Will update later or tomorrow.

This morning I have managed to sort all of the internet banking out for the 3 x 0% credit cards I now have. I've also totalled the debt up again as I had missed some bits and hadn't counted the BT fees so the figure in my signature is the absolute highest it will be now and it will only be coming down. :)

Him is still here today (he usually works away during the week), so is finishing some bits in my house for me and we'll cook something tonight, so just those bits to buy today.

Hope everyone had a great weekend, will catch up on the diaries later today

    xx

I know precisely what you mean by wanting to stay and yet being slightly stressed. I am sure O will have a lovely week and be spoilt rotten :o

How lovely your Him is. He seems a keeper ;) I was planning on glossing a cupboard I have today. But I just have no energy after a very bad night with madam so I am in bed with a hot chocolate trying to get a bit of a chill out before Jelly needs collecting.

Hope you have a good day today hun. Are you at work? Very busy ;) lol xxx

Oh Lilty, just read your diary about lamb-gate :( what a rubbish thing to happen after a particularly crappy morning already. Wish I could do something to cheer you up... if it wasn't so heavy and in need of chilling, I'd be sending you a leg of lamb in the post! Hope you've managed to catch up on some sleep and much-needed 'you' time, you're not having much of a break of it at the moment are you.:(

Yeah, I'm at work, but it's so quiet, we practically have nothing to do. :( Even helped out other depts this morning and now they've run out of work as well. It's not good and makes for a very long, dull day. Everyone is in a very sombre mood and it's not a nice place to be. :( I'm glad my Him will be there when I get home tonight, feeling a bit down with my boy away all week and really want a cuddle!

I just popped to Mr T and bought some bits for dinner tonight and a few treats to make the day pass by quicker for us here, didn't cost me a penny as used a gift card, always nice to go shopping and not have to pay for it!

Hope your day improves lovely Lilty

Yep, am 6 hours behind you all, having just had breakfast. Am pleased this hotel has a complete loo seat - much less risk of spray and spillage!!

We are off in a couple of hours to the no-internet-zone, which is why I'm getting a fix now! We return to internet-world on Easter Sunday so all 3 of us will be glued to our tech munching choc!

And...we brought dd's big egg with us and amazingly it is still intact!

Enjoy chilling in a child-free zone this week.

Well, I didn't manage to get much done last night at all.

I don't know what's wrong with me at the moment, but I'm not feeling the love for life presently and struggling to find the motivation for anything - including saving money - which is not good. Thankfully I haven't overspent. YET.

Not sure why, but I'm feeling really down and wish I could snap out of it. :( I'm sat here at my desk blinking back tears again and no idea what I'm upset about.

I'm not really in the right frame of mind to post much at the moment, as really am not seeing the positives presently, so may take a break for a while. Please don't think I've abandoned you all though, I think I just need a temporary leave of absence until I'm generally in a better mood.

    Love to all

    Hey you,
Listen this is just my opinion but I think when you're feeling low is when you need us most. Lots of people on here seem to abandon ship when they don't feel they have any positive updates but I think it is reverse logic... let it out here, among people who will understand (money related or not, doesn't matter about that).. and also just to get it off your own chest.. maybe it's just me but I think I benefit LOADS from venting and being a hot mess all over the place on here because people can offer stuff up that makes me see it in another way or gain perspective etc. You are probably still dealing with turmoil from the new living arrangements etc so don't be too hard on yourself.

Sorry I haven't had much of a chance to view diaries the past couple of days - mania at work. Please don't vanish entirely.... and I hope you feel better soon.. I've been a bit like that too with the non-specified blue funk.. you can always PM or email or anything if that helps but obviously not in a 'get my face smashed in by your b/f' kind of way. Hang in there chicken
    xx ps: don't vanish :heart2:

    Oh hello sweetie

I didn't see your post about the lamb-gate, but bless you for the thought. You are such a sweetheart.

No I can't think that work is that nice a place to be at the moment. My place was bad enough with just one redundancy and enough work to keep us all going in to next year. I have all my fingers crossed for you hun... Hope it picks up.

And whilst Levi has a very good point about needing us the most when you're feeling like this, I am one of those people who tends to just go quiet when life throws a bit too much carp at me. It is an indefinable feeling of hopelessness which I just don't feel like putting into words because I am generally a ridiculously positive person and find it hard to deal with not being that way for a while. Sometimes a posting break is just what I need. So if that is what you feel like you need to do... then do so. But remember we are here for you at the drop of a hat. Always.

And as for the 'why' you're feeling like this? Massive upheaval in your life. Splitting your little boy between two houses because it is what is best for HIM not for you or ex. Issues at work leaving you alone with far too much thinking time. Money worries.

It is completely normal. I would struggle to find a positive at the minute too hun. Hell at my worst there were entire weeks where the only positive thing in my day was Jelly. I felt like I was falling apart and going insane. I kept it together just enough for her, by leaning hard on my mum and some really good friends.

Just keep doing what you are doing. You're pretty darned awesome you know...

    Lots of love xxx

  • Echo above. I'd feel rubbish being away form my little one too - can you not skype him to make you feel better? Mind you when I did that when I went away for 3 days in January, he wasnt that bothered in even saying hello to me on the phone/skype! Theres me missing him loads and feeling guilty and he was having too much of a good time to even miss me :p

I always want to spend when I'm down too - just keep looking at those category balances in YNAB! Honestly take it from me, you do not want to overspend, especially on your c.card as it becomes a right mess! I did this over Xmas and got myself in a right pickle.

Hey you should try and look at the Kon Marie forum in OldStyle Board - I think it would be right up your street reading your last few pages and hearing you talk about decluttering. Sounds like you have some time on your hands evenings this week too so might just pass a night or 2. Some of it is a littl barmy, like thanking your handbag for a good days work  but that along with YNAB and grocery challenge has really helped me to STOP spending, well over spending anyway.

Missing your drivel, so please come back :D x
