Welcome. I order the contact lenses in the Polish Internet shop. You can buy them very cheaply, the cost of shipping to England is low. In Poland they are not required for prescriptions for contact lenses. I can not embed a link to the website of the store, because I am a new user. But if someone wants I can send a private message. I hope that what I wrote is understandable and helpful.
    Regards Radek.

I forgot to write: Contact Lenses I fit in specsavers. I'm happy, I have no problems. But I buy contact lenses by a Polish website, because they are much cheaper.

you too  . good to hear you're still getting on with your lenses ok.

all ok at the moment for me, i ordered 6 months of the B&L purevision at costco on tuesday, £74. i'm wearing them daily though & not continuous. i'm still to finalise which all in one solution i'll be using though as the B&L biotrue that i'd been using isn't stocked by costco any more.

i was given 2 new sample bottles to try -
opti-free replenish, tried for the first time today & i've actually had less irritation in my dry eye than using the biotrue. no discomfort when i removed the lenses either (opti-free evermoist was fine with the lenses in but left my eyes very sore after the lenses were removed).
a new'ish one, amo revitalens. sounds very good & i'll try this is a few days time.

it sounds daft now as it's pretty obvious really, but i had no idea that solutions could make such a difference to comfort! :o i found this on another forum that has some useful info on solutions & lens compatibility.

    i can see clearly now...:D
  • Thanks for posting back Abbie. It's good to read things are working out.

I sometimes find my eyes are tired at work but I'm staring at a pc screen, so I suppose its to be expected.

I had no idea solutions did anything other than clean the lenses.

bit of a revelation to me too! i've tried the lenses after using the replenish solution twice & there's a marked improvement in comfort in my dryer eye & vision is still clear at the end of the day.

i'm using them after the revitalens for the first time today & comfort is similar to the biotrue, irritation in my left eye again & clarity starting to lessen after nearly 7 hours of wear.

so i think i'll be using the replenish - costco are currently selling 4 x 300ml @ £24, compared to Asda 2 x 300ml £21.21. it's one of the most expensive ones, but at the moment i'm happy to pay extra for the comfort.

A work colleague said you could buy eye drops to help with the dryness / tiredness.

    The Optrex ones look expensive.
Asda sell Blinks but I'm not sure which ones to get.

Can anyone recomend me a product please.

    :)

For me,as I don't wear my contacts every day I find the spray bottle to be the most ecconimical. Expensive but you dont have to throw it out within a week or two of opening as you do drops

i've got the individual little sizes of blink for using out & about, about £4.50 for 10 x 1ml i think from asda. but i'm using them pretty regularly any way so a 10ml bottle is ok for me too, i'm just using tesco comfort drops at the moment. costco are doing 3 x 10ml of blink for £8, £3.74 for 1 bottle at asda. i think the bottles have to be discarded after they've been open a month? definitely wasn't a week or so. just make sure you get one suitable for using with contacts.

i'm yet to master the technique for using them, my aim appears to be a little amiss & i usually end up with at least a few drops just running down my cheeks before i manage to get any in my eye!

edit - the tesco drops i'm using have to be thrown away after 3 months, £2.40 for a 10ml bottle , so pretty economical

Hi, Im after a bit of guidance regarding DD contact lenses, if anyone can help please.
She is 14 and wears monthlies - I pay a direct debit to vision express for £20 pm.
I spoke to a lady in tesco opticians and she said they do 3 months supply for £35 which is a massive saving.
Now I am wondering what sort of questions I should be asking before I swap to tesco.
Reading this thread, I'm a bit confused now as I didn't realise what a complex matter this is!
She has never had any problems with the lenses from vision express so I'm wondering if maybe we should stick with what is good for her, after all there must be no compromise where her eyes are concerned.
    Any thoughts please.
  • I suggest Daysoft daily disposables, one months supply is £10.48 per month, delivered to your door.
