    Hiya Levi,

I love your posts.. All of this talk of Kondoing has made me look into it as I am finished with exams this week and the house needs a complete overhaul so sounds like a good time to look at this method. Also have so much s^%t that needs chucking - just need to be brave.

Regarding little man - my ex and I broke up when my girl was quite young and before he moved out we had a year of separate bedrooms where she slept with whoever had the main bedroom - we had got into the habit of her sharing our bed and it was so much easier than having to be in bed with him on my own.... :) Anyway when he moved out he had shared custody and he had her half the week and I had her the other half. We carried on with the arrangements of her sharing our bed depending on whose house she was at and to be honest it didn't bother me.

Anyway when she was getting ready to start school the teacher asked about sleeping arrangements etc and when we told her how it was she said that really she needed to be in her own bed before she started school. So that was what we did and after a couple of weeks all was fine. To this day I still believe it went well because she was ready for it and if I am honest with you I was happy for her to sleep with me too. The difficulty comes when you introduce anyone else into the relationship as then this is not cool.....

Keep going - you are doing great and the posts are sounding much more positive.

    Have a great week.

    Hello there Mr Industrious...

I feel tired just reading that but once again you have me sat here like a proud mother hen. You get something between your teeth and you shake it until there is nothing left. Do you even realise? I know you may do a lot of thinking about it.. out loud, with much umming and aaahing, but you never let the thought go until it has been completed. Thats a fantastic personality trait right there my dear.

Just look where it has got you today. You're still thinking on the wardrobe and I have no doubt it will be hit at Easter, but look how much you have achieved. I still get a kick out of opening Jellys drawers. I can see immediately what is needed, what must be in the washing... what is getting shabby or old, and switch it around and buy bits to cover it. It is orderly, neat, easy to keep doing... If I don't have time to kondo stuff as it is dried, I sit it in a pile on top of the drawers until I get the chance. It is wonderfully relaxing, almost like meditating ;) and the SPACE... is incredible. The same stuff goes into half the space, as you now know! :) Marie Kondo is a genius. A completely batsh!t crazy genius.

Hope you have a lovely evening. Don't beat yourself up over Luca. This last few weeks I let Jelly have her dummy during the day (cardinal sin) as she has been so poorly and prone to sleeping in the day. We have had hell on trying to get her to stop asking for it in the day but a week on and she is back to normal. Just because parents do not put their every thought/issue or mistake with their kids up there for all to see, does not mean it doesn't happen DAILY to EVERYONE. I left Jelly alone for 2 minutes whilst I rolled clean towels up today. She opened the fridge, opened a pukka steak pie and ate the lid and some of the sauce (UNCOOKED!!) whilst I was away. I came back to pastry chin and torn box everywhere. Not to mention the tummy problems later, since it had dairy in of course. Not to mention being UNCOOKED! :rotfl:

Give yourself a break once in a while Mr. You've a lot more on your plate than I have on mine, and all I managed today was to pick up the clothes and return the others to the shop, and tame the beast for 4 hours. And she still didn't eat dinner. Or tidy up her mess. Tomorrow I shall walk her into nursery and SKIP out of the door. :rotfl:

    Much love. xx

Something I vividly remember from when I was about 3-4 was that I was allowed in Mum & Dad's bed on Monday mornings LOL! This was because Monday was my Dad's day off and it was treat day! They usually went into town later in the morning and took me with them, and we went to a cafe or went to look round the market etc etc.

I think I had to be in my own bed all the rest of the time, but Monday mornings were so special to me! I was a terror though - I can still remember jumping around all over the bed in my excitement and making loads of noise!

I wonder whether Mum & Dad enjoyed this as much as I did???!!!

YAY!!!! Finally got Levi on to Freecycle at long last!!!

Still got the NOT BUYING IT 2015 thread to go though Levi!!!

Loved you being so upbeat this weekend, it really suits you, you know!!!

Bit late now I suppose but you could have offered the scratched cd discs on Freecycle for someone to use on their allotment or in their garden if they grow veg. When the sun shines on them they make all sorts of beautiful colours and reflect the sun and scare the birds away from veg!!! I have a row of them dangling over my veg beds every summer and they work a treat!! Just out of interest for you and others people even want old carpets to use at their allotments as this saves them walking down muddy paths when it keeps raining. You will be surprised what some freecyclers would be glad to take off your hands. I am not suggesting you get rid of your carpets, I only mentioned the carpets to give you and others an idea of what you can offer for others to make use of. Freecycle is great for stopping loads of stuff going in to landfill sites. Makes you feel better too that you are not throwing something away that someone else can make use of!! If you advertise something and it does not go you can advertise it again as next time someone may notice it that did not notice it being offered before. Then if it does not go then throw it!! Just a little tip for you and others margarine tubs are great for using to freeze one portion meals in such as soups. If you make your soup quite thick one tub is enough for 2 portions. When you heat it up just add a little water then that will be enough for 2 of you!!! Saves buying expensive containers if you don't have any.

And well done with the Li*l shopping this week!!!

Nearly forgot to ask how did the soup taste?? Talk about getting your 10 a day with that one!!!

Have a good week and remember it will soooooon be pay day
    again!!!!

I leave you alone for a day and a half and there's a whole epoch to catch up on...

Sounds like you've been a super busy bee and you're putting me to shame, I do, however, feel a bit inspired to clear and de-clutter now that the house is mine, but I'm not one to have a lot of *stuff* as I can't stand clutter, so it shouldn't take me long.

I have no idea what Kondo-ing is, but something's telling me I'm going to regret looking it up...

    Have a good day Levi

    Ok, so I looked...

Whilst I 'get' the theory behind kondo-ing, and the folding thing makes sense (although not sure how long I would keep that up when trying to tidy the laundry away quickly :o), if I got rid of all my clothing that doesn't 'spark joy', then I would be wandering round pretty butt naked most days. :rotfl:

I don't have that many clothes as it is and don't really spend much money on myself (and am not the size I'd like to be :o).

Have you Kondo-fans taken it that far?
