Ok, so I looked...
Whilst I 'get' the theory behind kondo-ing, and the folding thing makes sense (although not sure how long I would keep that up when trying to tidy the laundry away quickly), if I got rid of all my clothing that doesn't 'spark joy', then I would be wandering round pretty butt naked most days. :rotfl:
I don't have that many clothes as it is and don't really spend much money on myself (and am not the size I'd like to be).
Have you Kondo-fans taken it that far?
Uh.. yes. Yes I did. And I spent £70 on the little-un and £337 on me and counting building up a stock of clothing that a: brings me joy and b: is clothing.. because all I had left were about 10 hoodies, 2 pairs of jamas, 2 pairs of tracksuit bottoms I would't be seen dead in out of the house, 3 nice jumpers & one work top, and one work cardigan. So yeah.. needs were pretty dire! Like trousers for work so as not to go in pj bottoms.MessyBetty wrote: »Hi Levi

Today has been a lil better thanks guys.
Work, urgh  Sometimes I just am beside myself with frustration at the incompetence coupled with ignorance of people I work with and when it is coupled with a dose of genuine stupidity and any level of seniority.. I just can't deal :wall:
I work with vulnerable/special needs/disabled adults who are either taking their first steps into paid employment or are being rehabilitated back into employment following illness/ becoming disabled/ accidents, mental health issues or many other reasons. My team identify the needs of the client and their employer to make this as successful as it can be, supporting the employee on all levels and also help the employer stay within the guidelines of applicable laws such as the Equalities Act 2010. It involves going into the work places, identifying problems, recommendations, reviewing progress, writing up reports, handling disputes and tons of other stuff but it is usually quite rewarding because the things we do make a lasting and positive difference to the clients that we work with and in turn raising awareness to diversity etc to many employers. But there are times when I am appalled at the 'head in sand' attitude of the employers and this is found mostly in the biggest and wealthiest companies who have plenty of resources. Anyway without going too much into it there is a young client I've been working with for about 9 months on & off who falls into the above category and is being mismanaged to the point of me having to see his life/health fall apart (or even losing his job) for no reason other than his employers lack of awareness to his disability and their failure to follow the recommendations and even the law.
I have to escalate it further and it becomes uncomfortable because it starts to get confrontational when you start quoting law at people - and you continue meet road block after road block dealing with these people who just fail to see past their own blinkers - HR departments are often the most useless of them all. Yesterday it exhausted me and I just get frustrated on behalf of my client/s and this particular one has been going on way longer than it should be for some things that should be so simple to implement for him.
The other thing that flipped me over the edge yesterday was that I received a call I had been waiting for all day literally as I put my jacket on to leave. Everyone there KNOWS I have to leave dead on time to get Luca from after school club and it is a tight schedule at the best of times to get to him on time. The person on the call was pretty senior and I had been waiting for the info as it helped me progress a matter but of all the timings, I also had to log in to the complicated appointments system and set a load of stuff up on there and then send a few emails relating to it straight away - thus I was late for Luca by about 15 minutes and he was upset (thought I had forgotten him) and his after school club staff were a bit- I was hugely apologetic and will bring them in a box of choc or something on Friday. So all in all it was a hot mess yesterday.
Anyway. The sun is out. It's hump day. Payday is almost here. LL is going straight from school swimming with one of his buddies which is excellent for me because they are also feeding him and dropping him back here )despite it being about 20 miles out of their way) :heart2:A couple of extra hours of just me - decadent  Cooking a beef casserole with lots left to be frozen.
Had my Barclaycard statement and there was enough left in the o/d to make a £250 to it again this month (min was £197). So that is done and dusted. Keeping the payments around the £250 mark means I will have it paid off by the time the 0% deal runs out which was always my strategy. Will update the other parts of sig after the 1st to reflect any payments made.
Gonna take Ozzy out for a run.. [pop to Tesco for some milk (we ran out because Luca isn't eating much at the mo so I'm letting him have more milk again.. he never refuses whole milk so at least that is something)..and then do a bit more work- a very slight feeling of incoming 'blues' but trying to ignore that!x
Love to you all :heart2: Happy Wednesday Wishes.- on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -

Oh and just one final vent- the other thing that I can't stand is when people want work to be a soap opera instead of just doing their damn work and leaving me alone to do mine. #endsoapbox Raaah!- on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -
