LOL Gally - that is pretty cunning. My mum did once cook a pizza in the oven on my brothers birthday and put it in an old pizza hut box she'd saved and try to tell us it was his 'birthday take away' - times were hard:rotfl:

greyfox - i had a text that labour started early this morning but he didn't waste much time after that! everything was plain sailing though and is already at home. LL is excited to see him but currently preoccupied by a bleeding tongue which he managed to get at school today when he fell and bit it... he is making it worse by touching it and pressing it on his teeth non stop all the while telling me how much it hurts.. not sure what I can do because I don't think little kids are allowed Bonjela are they?

Yay! Congratulations Uncle Levi and Cousin Luca! Brilliant news.

Bonjela isn't recommended for under 16s any more. Would sucking an ice cube help? Xx

For an adult I'd suggest a salt solution rinse, but it'll sting & he won't like it + would make him sick if he swallowed it, so perhaps not! I tend to think of Bonjela as a teething gel (so OK for kids) but having just Googled I see there are Adult & Junior versions, too.

Perhaps ice, held against the bitten bit, would help? The cold (+ a bit of pressure) should reduce the bleeding & numb the area a bit. (Hope this doesn't count as medical advice!)
