Long time lurker who couldn’t resist the temptation to join in tonight!

“My name is Greyfox and I am an Escape-to-theCounty-holic”! (Guess who watched Midwife tonight.) Oh & I are retired & it’s our guilty pleasure, though the temptation to yell one of the following at the TV is often irresistable.

“You want to run a B&B because you think it will leave you lots of time for long walks/cycle rides/all those hobbies you’ve always wanted to do. Have you any idea what running a B&B actually involves?”

“Do you really want to have to bend double to get through the door into your bedroom?”

“You retired a few years ago & want to move to the back of beyond – miles from anything – where you know no-one & can’t get anywhere except by car. Are you mad?”

    Or, my particular favourite

“It’s 5 miles from the nearest village, your husband’s nearly 80 and you don’t drive.”

What planet do these people come from?!

  • Totally agree with you Greyfox.

Levi, I hope you and LL got some decent sleep last night. I ended up having the best night's sleep I had in awhile. Unfortunately, still full of weird dreams!

    Have a great day.

Urgh at Jeremy Kyle, I'd never really seen it before I had dude as was always at work. Then I went on maternity leave and allllllllll these programmes were at the touch of a button. I soon realised that my street were probably the star cast of JK!! How I long to move to a lovely neighbourhood with [STRIKE]10ft high walls to keep everybody out[/STRIKE] Lovely white picket fences and nice polite children:rotfl:

I have just purchased an entertainment pack on nowtv to get my fix of Walking Dead, before now I sneeked into mums house while they were all out at work during the day and watched while dude had a snooze:rotfl: Need to stop watching the daytime telly and watch proper grown up type programmes. I swear I know DocMcStuffins words by heart:eek:

Hope you both slept well and are feeling better today

I'm terrible. I like escape to the country where people with loads more money than I have, look at mahoosive houses and say they are all horrible. Then there is 60 minute makeover, how many people can you cram into a terrace house, while putting the most ghastly wallpaper in tiny rooms. Then my absolute favourite on a Wednesday night is tiny house nation on more four. That one is awesome... (OH has been leaving me on my own too many night this week!)

My friend and I used to play an AMAZING game of innuendo bingo with 60 minute make over. I was off work sick, she had a job as a swimming teacher so worked strange hours. We'd both watch the show, and FB message each other the funniest quotes and most absurd innuendos. It was a very funny way to pass an hour. :rotfl: my grandma offered to call the show and ask them to decorate the flat to 'cheer me up'. no thanks grandma, I like my kitchen units attached to the wall with screws thanks, not double sided sticky tape.....:rotfl:

Today's Escaping couple were really quite sensible. Most disappointing!

Actually, Greyfox is heading to the kitchen to make supper & then settling down for an hour of University Challenge & Only Connect. (Gotta keep the little grey cells going before they're killed-off by daytime TV!)
