Urgh I'm SO tired I feel like I'm about to drop down. If I were a phone I'd be running on about 3% charge right now! Early night for me but just having a little unwind because L has pushed me to the brink again this evening
Today was OK though. Work was extremely busy. I have a new assistant who started today (nobody told me until 5 minutes before she walked in) - she's agency at the moment but after 12 weeks, if she's happy and we're happy - we will get to keep herSe seems good so far though and I'm pleased for the help as I'd been without for rather long while they faffed about with budget sign-offs. It's always quite exhausting having a new person though as I'm sure a lot of you can imagine, you have to focus a lot on showing them stuff, instead of actually getting stuff done - but it's worthwhile.
Didn't end up seeing that other guy - he had to go to an appointment or something and our paths didn't cross.
Someone who DID cross my path today was the infamous SR! He came to see me at my desk and chatted as normal about something a podcast, I was civil but said little - everything was fine - but you'll never believe what happened next!
He asked my assistant to go with him to unlock a cupboard which we hold the keys for in our dept and she went off with him to do that. When she came back, the first thing she said was "that guy said he wanted me as part of his dream team".
:shocked::shocked: !
I was like !!!!!!!Is he just going around honing in on people and luring them all in to his game? I was careful what I said.. but I said to her along the lines of, be careful with that guy. he's not always what he seems. I don't think I'll be letting her go off with him again, we don't need a repeat performance of all that crap!
Another thing that transpired is that the SR's PA had a couple of days off earlier this week and came back to find all her personal belongings in their office bin
I *DEFINITELY* had a lucky escape working with him. Sounds like he's secretly a total psycho.
Health wise - not much time to focus on my racing heart, but the slightest exertion sets it off - a small flight of stairs for example.
Feeling OK other than knackered and trying to forget it.hummingbird wrote: »I was just going to say, it might even be worth checking out some of the "good quality" local charity shops for a coat and other bits and pieces for LL - or Freecycle, boot sales, or the Bay of E, or a local Facebook selling group. or Gumtree etc etc etc......because they grow out of things so quickly there's usually quite a lot on offer!
Who knows you might be able to get some bundles of things for him, and in turn sell/ pass on some of the things he's grown out of.
This is a great idea Humming, I love charity shops and often have a browse but they never seem that great on kids stuff - but I will check at the weekend and see if I can find him anything. He'll be fine with no coat on the way there... I'll put money on the fact that he'll have his coat on normally when he comes out of school. Once he sees all the other kids in their coats at playtime/hometime he'll join in.
And don't worry what people will think...I agree with the others, the staff are used to it. Apparently when I was a kid, my mum took me to school in my pj's with my uniform in a bag as I'd not got dressed. She'd always threatened to, whenever I was faffing in the mornings, but one day the threat didn't work so she went through with it!
I never faffed about again before school.
I've threatened it with LL a few times so maybe I should go through with it with him one day too lol.
He came out of school with his coat on BTW
To be fair it is small on him so I will find him another one asap.liltdiddylilt wrote: »Hey you
Sorry am trying to keep up but it has been manic. Am at work for a rest now.
Re the bank account, as I have said... use it in whatever way makes you feel comfortable. Start slowly and work your way up as your confidence grows. But from my point of view, and if you read back, most of your earlier stress was caused by thinking that your bank would close your account down and suck your wages up leaving you with bounced DD's as long as your arm & without any money for the month. If that was me, I would be moving my wages and DD's out of there sharpish, thus reducing that angle of stress big time. At the end of the day all you can do is what stops you worrying the most and what you find most helpful. From past posts I would say move everything. From current posts... I would say you're worrying more about what it will do to your credit history and your loyalty to Gnats Vest. Frankly what have they done to deserve your loyalty? How have they repaid it the first and only time you've asked for their help? As for your credit history... I've got 5 current accounts and a 5* rating. Go figure because I move the same money between each account on payday and back again :rotfl:
You're totally right, I should have no loyalty to Natwest. And since I applied I'm feeling better about the B/C account, as I explored it a bit, it offers me everything Natwest does and is as user-friendly (online wise). It would take away the anxiety I have about the O/D. So I'm sure I'll be fine about it all soon and start getting things going properly (haven't had my paperwork yet but they text me today to say I should have it in 3 days)
Don't frazzle yourself out Lilty, get lots of rest and stop trying to be superLilyX
Oh the other news is that I found out today I will get £6 more a week in working tax credits cos they messed it up the first time, £24 more a month, not to be sniffed at

SO chuffed for you about the tax credits. I got a bit extra too this last month and it is definitely not to be sniffed at
just remember, you didn't have it before so you won't miss it if you throw it at those debts. Mine went straight to savings
Glad you're getting a bit more comfortable with the B/C account. I am 100% sure it works exactly the same. The reason they are set up is for people who have multiple reasons for not being able to get a more normal account. They can be foreign, not working so no regular income, in debt, have ID issues, have forgotten to join the electoral roll... :rotfl: - the government and various governing bodies insist that a bank account should be available for EVERYONE. That is all a basic account is. It works no differently, looks no different. It is just inclusive of the entire population regardless of circumstances
SuperLilty again this evening. Very tired, but about to bake a loaf and make something... anything.. with lentils for tomorrows lunch! Got no tinned tomatoes so passata and chopped real actual tomatoes it is.. :rotfl: xx

As for that SR stuff........unbelievable! Oh well, at least we know what he's really like now, and as your assistant is brand new there's no way she could have made it up! Glad she told you what he said though!£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

Wow me cool
I don't think I've ever been called cool in my life lol. I'll take it
Yay for the tax credits, they have saved us this past year. We would have probably sunk without them. Stupid me only applied about 6ish months ago as i was determined we didn't need *benefits* even though I went down to part time hours. Very wrong and stupid of me but my proud head wouldn't budge... Probably also a contributing factor to a bit of my debt.
I would try ebay for a coat, I've got quite a health stash of clothes for dude from ebay bundles. Infact I probably have a 4 year old size coat in a bundle in the loft!! I keep buying good ones when I see them regardless of the size and wash/box them and chuck them in the loft. I know, sad right?
The sr guy sounds like a douche. Does he think nobody will talk to each other! Idiot. You're much better off without having him around. As if he put his pr's stuff in the bin, I would have totally gone hell bunny psycho on him if that were me.... ( my phone offered me a weird bunny emoticon there incase it doesn't show. I thought it was good)

Hi Levi
I have just sat and read through your diary.
I didn't read the last one so don't know your full story but it sounds like you've been through a lot.
Keep up the good work building your confidence, working on your catastrophe mind wanderings (i do the same) and beating down the debt.

Perfect Messy Betty - couldn't have said it better myself..
P.S Levi a whole bunch of people on here called SR for what he really is. A pompous self important idiot who makes himself feel better by looking important to others. Unfortunately he got to you at the wrong time, but at least you can forewarn and forearm your assistant. I've known an exact replica of him, and that guy was a sleazy so & so who kept a flat in the town centre away from his wife & 4 kids, supposedly for work purposes...and took me there for an 'interview' once. Lets just say I left when he tried to make a move on me. Shame I still had to work in the same building as him... blergh. Guys like that will get their comeuppance. x
