Hey,:wave::heart2:
Manic Wednesday thus far.
Went to the Dr.. was almost late due to being stuck in roadworks on way back from LL school drop off.. made it by the skin of my teeth but GP was running a bit late as it turned out so no biggie. It wasn't my regular GP but she was perfectly OK - listened to my symptoms, had on the computer about my history of depression and anxiety including panic disorder, asked about family history of heart and stroke issues (which is quite a lot unfortunately) then she checked my blood pressure (which was OK) and listened to my heart.
She said my heart was beating very fast (which I knew it was and often does) and said it may be partly because being at the Dr was causing me to be nervous (it was) but as I was aware of it being fast with palpitations quite often and with the breathlessness I am now getting for no reason - she is sending me for an ECG and a load of blood tests, to make sure there is nothing else going on.
Obviously there is a clear anxiety link and I mentioned the stress issues ongoing and how I live almost constantly in a state of high adrenaline. She asked if I would prefer not to go to work (sign me off) but I said for now I'd rather just keep things normal.
Long story short then there was an almight faff with making the appointments for the ECG and blood tests which aren't being done together or even in the same place. Cos of my work schedule and stuff with LL's schedule it became complicated and the clinic clerk was a bit of a thickie.
Ended up that the ECG is next Tues after work (will have to take LL) phlebotomy (fasting) is next Thurs BEFORE work (will have to drop him off and come back again and go to work late) and then a follow up appointment the next Wednesday to get results. All a lot of faff I could do without but I suppose its better to make sure nothing is wrong.
Then I went to try and get a new coat for LL which he really needs but couldn't find anything suitable in my 'price range'. Went to the market and got veggies (Edwink:D) and then popped in to 99p shop to buy crisps for LL's lunchboxes as I forgot the other day.. 9 bags for 99p.
Managed to do some work via email and phone whilst bopping about but really need to do some properly now - this is my working from home day, not my taking care of personal crap day :rotfl:
Hope ya'll OK this hump day!Levi.....xx

Hi Levi.
Just a few notes for you, I opened a basic account with Barcl33ys and swapped everything over, (because I was including my OD in with my debt management plan).
Perhaps you can start small with this. Set up a standing order from your Natwest account for the amount you usually spend on groceries, then use your basic account for grocery shopping ONLY. It may help to build up a small little pot with the money you dont spend on baking potatoes in your new account, then slowly but surely pay slightly more from Natwest to barclays, and use it for groceries and petrol etc, over time you can then transfer your direct debits and standing orders and just treat your natwest one as a debt to pay a certain amount off each month.
This is what I would have done if i hadnt been doing the DMP.
As an aside with the doctors, please dont worry about an ECG, it is a really simple procedure, and shouldnt take too long. It is a shame the doctor couldnt do it whilst you were there as they really do only take about 5 minutes, but it must be a small relief that at least they are checking you over.
Twiggy and October have pointed out to me that Doctors are just doing their job when they seem to be overcautious, we would all get mad if they ignored things.
Good luck with everything.

Genius AleMrsT! I was thinking similar last night, if you are worried about using your new a/c Levi, you could start with putting some money in there just for your spending for things other than bills, and keep your DD's the same in Gnatwest for the time being. Then as you get happier with it you can decide whether you want to do the thing Patman Post suggested a while back, or whether to swap everything over to the new a/c.
But you can definitely take it a step at a time!
At least doing what AleMrsT has suggested will stop your new a/c going dormant! zzzzzzzzzzzzz£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

Hi Levi
Glad you managed to get to the doctors. It is great that they are getting everything checked. I just wanted to say if they thought your racing heart was a real problem they would have probably sent you for an ECG straight away. I had a great deal of stress a few years ago and my blood pressure was checked and because the reading was high I was sent straight away for an ECG. It frightened the life out of me if I am honest. But, I need not have worried so much it was my anxiety doing it. I was put on some medication and that has helped. But, remember medication for anxiety does help but never actual cures it and that you have to help yourself too in order for everything to calm down. Not easy I know in your situation. I would not worry about it at least you now have all of your appointments made so that part of it has all be dealt with.
Easier said than done I know but try and give yourself some me time in the evening. Maybe switch the TV off if it is on and sit and listen to some of your favourite music whilst laying on your sofa. Just try and chill out a bit. I felt exhausted with my stress and I am sure you feel the same. So try and chill out a bit even if it is for half an hour every evening. Be kind to yourself!!
All the best

Hi Levi, I was thinking of an excellent book I was lent a long time ago called "Self Help for your Nerves" by Dr Claire Weekes. When I googled this just now I found there's loads of info on Youtube - reading the book is great and also working your way through some of the video info that you feel will be helpful.
I just discovered this more or less by accident so I may look at some of it myself!
