Thanks Verb & Debt & Edwinkle:)
I'm already using the antiDs and diazepam for the anxiety so I'm not sure what else they can give me, I suspect a beta-blocker may be on the cards but obviously depending on what they find. And you're right, it all is a a cycle because being at the Dr. and talking about the stress is going to set me off! Unfortunately there are many physiological things that stress can induce so I'm a little concerned that the stress has just been the catalyst to a heart disorder of some sort (lots of heart disease and stroke in my family).. so, I am pretty worried but trying not to be worried about my heart racing makes my heart race and oh.. such fun

Hi Levi
As you are already taking medication they may well increase the dose for you even if it is just for a short while until you feel a bit less anxious.
Try not to worry about your heart health or you will make your anxiety worse. Look at the healthy diet you eat!! You don't drink hardly at all!! Not sure if you are a smoker though!! So looks as though your lifestyle is pretty good to me!! Except for the stress you are continually going through!! We all have to deal with stress from time to time but yours is continuous because of the situation you are in. Never a day goes past in your life when you are not reminded of your debt so I am not surprised that you are getting palpitations, I would get them too in your situation, honestly I would and so would others.
Take care and let us know how you get on tomorrow!!

Yeah. The good points: Good diet. Non smoker. Normal BMI. Quite active from my lifestyle.
Bad: Far too much adrenaline in my bloodstream, lack of sleep (not as bad now LL is more settled) too much stress, addicted to caffeine.
The problem is I've been accumulating stress for the best part of 3 years now.. near enough non stop, increasingly, at levels I never thought possible. I've adopted many techniques to help manage it and also use medication but I feel like it's been doing things to my body for too long and now I may be paying the price. I dunno, probably thinking the worse as usual but not looking forward to talking about it with the GP. I hope its nothing. There is no solution to help the stress *vanish* as I am still going to be a single parent, I am still going to be in my job and I am still going to have money worries. Poor health on top won't do me any favours so I'm not sure what will end up happening.
Sorry, just thinking out loud! I will let ya'll know how it goes.- on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -

The bad stuff is sortable. The good stuff will help make it sortable more quickly. Just remember the doctor is on your side but they need you to tell them what's really going on as opposed to doing an ostrich impression to be able to help you effectively. (Speaking as the queen of the ostriches who left it waaaay too late to ask for help when suffering from situational stress.) So although the stressors are still there, the doctor can help to give you the resources to start to deal with them without cracking up. Even if it's something as simple as looking at thing with an alternative perspective, which from your diary is already starting to happen. No miracle cures, but that doesn't mean things can't get easier.
And for some reason, your song has triggered in my mind an image of Levi in suit top and shorts strutting down the pavement being "Sooo moneysupermarket." An interesting image! All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Loving that mental image Elsien!! :rotfl:
Still trying to get to your PM Levi. I am almost falling down tired right now. On the plus side I have an epic pic of my cakes to show youand Jelly is over 24 hours sick free. Even if she isn't eating, that and her temp being much lower make me happy.
Tomorrow is another busy day but I will try my best to do something. Right now a bath and bed call
Ref the stress... you're doing the perfect thing seeing the Dr. Be brave and let it all out. I burst into tears on my Dr once and he went from Mr stiff upper lip to the sweetest chap ever. Not to mention handing me bunches of happy pills :rotfl:

Levi!!!! You are doing brilliantly!! Fab on the bank a/c!
Re your stress/anxiety.. Meds are definitely A Good Thing, but as an extra, have you tried meditation? I know it's a bit new-agey, but I do have times when I just can't switch my brain off, and meditation helps me a lot. Headspace do a brilliant (free!) app on beginners meditation, might be worth a look? XxLBM 1st Feb 2015 £18182 to go

^ I don't meditate, but when I can't switch my brain off, I turn it to lottery winning and build myself a house room by room. I get as far as the Costa outlet in the kitchen before I conk out usually. :rotfl:
