    I'm scary Lilty

:exclamati Does having 2 bank accounts open affect your credit rating? (No overdraft)

:exclamati Will I get in a muddle about what I am doing with more than one bank account? (Happens easily :o) Can I cope with all these new numbers and pins and things to remember?

:exclamati What happens if I don't use the new bank account?

I've got 5.. what do you think? ;) all opened within the last 2 years!

You can change the pin number to match the other. The plan is surely to have everything shifted to Barclays and used that as the only account? Then you can treat the Nw account as a debt purely and pay to it each month like your others.

If you don't use it.. well.. then you don't use it. Not the end of the world, but much better if you do.

It is fine. Wait till you have these debts licked; I will have you skipping banks like a pro :)

    But Lillllllllllllllllllllllllllllt.
I've been with this same Natwest bank account since 1996.
This is like.. a big deal. I'm worried. I have worst-case-scenario-itis. :( I'm going to wait until all the paperwork comes through and then see how I feel.

Thanks dudes. Still having some illogical anxiety but might just be an anxiety-day :p

So chuffed about the PPI - annoyed at myself for not doing this months ago, friends have been recommending it to me left, right and centre for ages having been successful themselves and I *knew* I'd had a loan in the right period to be likely, so no idea why I didn't do it. All I had to do was call the Natwest PPI number and they traced my loan from my current account details.. she said she just had to check if PPI had been added to it.. then said that it had. She asked if I wanted to raise a complaint about the mis-selling of this PPI and I said yes so then had to answer seven questions about why I feel it was mis-sold and what have you. I honestly have no recollection of PPI being even discussed with me (I was 18) let alone made clear to me what I was paying for, so I obviously was one of their many victims. Probably they ticked a box for me automatically and I just didn't see it, as they'd have hoped. So I got a Ref # and can check up on progress - and should get a resolution/offer any time in the next 8 weeks.

Shiny new bank account is all set up - will start to summon up courage to begin using it after I've had the paperwork in the post, etc. :o

[STRIKE]Doctor apt - 9am tomorrow - have made a list of notes as I also get flustered when I'm there :p I'm not seeing my usual GP but am just glad I got an appointment at all the way things are atm with GPs.
    It is basically
    - palpitations upon waking up, strange sensation in chest.
    - palpitations after coming out of shower or bath.
    - beating ridiculously fast when anxious/stressed, so much that I can 'hear' the blood pumping around my body, combined with head pressure and pain.
    - Tingling hands/feet with numbness.
    - Breathlessness at low-level physical exertion, especially walking at incline.
    - Seeing black stars.
    - Sharp & sudden head pain.
    - All of the above new but seemed to directly correlate with a recent period of extreme physical stress/emotional distress. Phoned 111 about it a couple of weeks ago and they said to see GP if any of it continued, which it has, and had a major 'attack' of it all after that run-in with the guy at work last week (caused me anxiety), and prior to that, after the SR news (caused me distress).
Dunno what it's all about or what they will do but I hate going to the Dr. :undecided [/STRIKE]
    ^ blah blah blah.
Good news is I have lost most of my fatness and am only about 1-2lbs away from my usual weight, although I'd like to be about 7lbs less than that ultimately so will continue being sensible.
    Have a good evening dudes,

  • Wow what a day you have had today Levi:T:T
Fingers crossed that you hear back from the PPI claim ASAP

Re the basic bank account... I reckon you've done the hardest part by opening the account. Once you have had a chance to read through the paperwork I'm sure with the support on hear you'll feel more confident to move your direct debits etc.

Levi ... Keep on doing what you're doing, because you're doing great !!!

    Hi Levi

Hope all goes well at the doctors tomorrow!!

To be honest I am not surprised you have palpitations with all the stress you are currently under. I know it is so easy to say but worrying about it will make it even worse!! Hard not to worry though, isn't it!!!!

You are right about going in there with a little list that way you won't forget anything when you are in there.

They most probably will take some blood tests or arrange an appointment for you to have it done and then ask you to make another appointment a week or so later to see the doctor for the results. You could ask if you could have your results over the phone as some surgery's do that. It will save you from having time off of work to go again. They may say no as they may want to see how you are the following week. It all depends on the doctor really!!

Just to try and put your mind at rest a bit if I can. Remember that stress can cause so many problems with your health that it becomes a vicious circle. You get stressed, you get palpitations, you get stressed over that, then your palpitations become more frequent, then you worry why they are happening more and more etc. etc. etc. I am sure that the doctor with be able to help you over this. The blood tests are only really routine as a rule just to check that you don't have anything else going on!!
They should check your blood pressure whilst you are there and this will help with their diagnosis.

And Levi if they give you medication to help with your anxiety do take it if only for a while. I know that some people hate taking medication for stress etc. It will help you to feel calmer and stop the vicious circle I mentioned to you earlier in this post.. Medication for anxiety can take a couple of weeks to work so you will have to be patient with it but they can and do work at relieving the anxiety.

All the very best to you!! And don't forget to make LL some of the orange jelly that you bought for HIM!!!! Notice I say HIM!!!!
