Hi Levi
Having you followed from the start I can really see a marked change in how you cope with challenges, really fantastic to see! You have come such a long way.
Are you considering talking to your brother about a potential lloan, you mentioned you helping him out before.0 -
Hi Levi, I tried to post twice earlier on and they disappeared both times when I clicked on "Submit" grrrr!
Just wondering if you've been able to get a shift away from Batwest organised yet? A basic a/c that makes your salary REAL money instead of just part of the overdraft would raise your happiness level no end.
I know what it feels like to work for "nothing" because it's just lowering the OD but then as soon as payments go out it's back to a maxed OD again. It really does feel as though you have no money again a few days after payday. If you haven't done it yet, make this pay the last one that is negative before it even starts. Get a lovely shiny new basic bank a/c for next month's salary to go into. Or keep your pay going into Batwest and organise a standing order (for all except the bank charges and a small amount extra to pay a little off the OD) to go to your new a/c the next day, like Patman Post suggested a while back.
Pleeeeeeeeze do it Levi!!

Onwards and upwards Levi.
LL has a doting Father so anything else is irrelevant in my opinion.
This might sound wrong, and I apologise profusely, but I wish my problems were debt, at least in the long run that debt can be paid
Life chucks some rubbish at everyone at times, but it's hardest when you are helpless to resolve that rubbish.
Sorry. I'll probably delete this in the morning.
You have such good support here and you and LL are in very good hands
All my very best0 -
Thank you Debtfree..x
Sidefx.. I hope you're OK, if you ever want to talk to me privately you can always drop me a PM, I'm always happy to listen or help if at all possible? x
Humming - you're right, I REALLY need to do that, and was just a click away the other week when Lilt linked me to one which could be all done on line. It's just the actually DOING IT part I'm scared of.. because of.. well *everything* in my Mr. Catastrophe head. I will do it. I must do it. I have a whole month after this week to do it before I'm paid again and would love the feeling of 'real money'.
I will do. I will do it. I will do it.
I bet I don't do it.- on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -

Urgh what a day today
Some people seem to be put on this earth with the sole purpose of winding me up  (work).
I was venting to LL on the drive home from school and he just looked at me and said "you just gotta shake it off."such wisdom from a 4 year old.. and that is what I'm gonna do cos I'm now OFF WORK until next Tuesday. :j
Gonna cook whatever I can find left of the sparse remains in the freezer/cupboard now for dinner and that is the last meal I need to worry about this side of pay day. Will do a "big shop" when back from seeing the folks -- ya'll can help
Pay day tomorrow :T (as of today, £4 left of £6k overdraft - !!!!!! is my life)
Will spend most of the day cleaning, sorting bits, packing and paying bills before picking up LL from school and going straight to Manchester from there, nice lonnnnngg road-trip with my very musical boy who I expect will sing the whole way.- on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -

Best win so far - holiday to Florida0 -
Dinner turned out to be fish fingers - good old fish fingers always there to save the day - and some oven chips, last of the bag. LL was desperate to sleep when we came home...I even had to wake him up twice on the sofa, I felt awful about it...had to perk him up with an impromptu Skype session with his US-grandfolks.
... now it's almost bedtime and he can snooze his little head off then
I have so much to do. But I really CBA.
Today was grim. A guy at work start lacing in to me about my 'special treatment'. I take great care not to speak much about my personal life when at work due to being stung with trust issues previously so my colleagues seem to assume that the small adjustments I'm getting since being given custody of LL/single parenting is just down to unfainess/favouritism/perks (stuff like my Wednesday working at home and my finishing time to allow me to get him from school). This guy is a douche at the best of times, very self centered, recently just swanned off ~AWOL~ style on holiday without even telling anyone (got away with it)... late almost every day, long lunches, massive ego, etc. etc. He doesn't know any of the ins and outs of my personal situation and nor do I want him to but he suddenly started saying some very unkind stuff about how everyone is secretly "fuming at me" for having all these 'special' things (seriously there are about 3 things and they aren't that special- and for all of them I took the formal process to have them agreed, like the Flexible Working policy). I got kinda  and said look dude, if you think this stuff is fun for me, then you are very wrong. I'm not getting those things just because I'm someones favourite or I'm giving cash backhanders to the senior management - I'm getting them due to change of circumstances and necessity for a very difficult situation that unfolded rather suddenly. And none of it even affects others in my department at all.
The rest of the info, I don't care to furnish him with. At least I know how he really feels (and how he alleges the others in our department do too, but I know the manager does not and I have her full respect and support).
I just hate this kind of crap. I really REALLY do. I just want to do my job and have people leave me alone and not inflict their wild presumptions and negative opinions on me. This guy in question too, I've helped out on tons of occasions with stuff, I even took care of his dog for a week once, defended him on work matters.. all kinds of stuff.
I left for my few days annual leave and he must have felt pretty bad because by the time I got home he had sent me 2 texts to apologise for it and then ask if I was OK. By then I had already deleted his number :rotfl: and have no intention of replying.
Gotta dash... bedtime drill.. back later... x... Levi x
