    Hi MeandO

After Levi mentioned your diary on this thread I just had a quick read of it.

I think you would benefit from a thread that is running at the moment!! It is Called "NOT BUYING IT! 2015". They are a great bunch of people on there. Some who have debt issues that they want to deal with, some single parents who are struggling financially and others who find they just spend too much and want to stop doing so.

There is so much help and support available on that thread!! Many on there have started to pay their debts/mortgages off by taking advice from others on the thread!! Lots of money saving tips on there too!!

I mentioned it to Levi some time ago but have not seen him on there yet. Have I LEVI????? :rotfl:

    Edwink x

Thanks Edwink, I'll be sure to take a look at it today, sounds like a great idea! I don't spend much on myself at all, but am very guilty of spoiling other people and now I really can't afford to do so, so it sounds like I need to head over there promptly!

    xx

oh - I've got this quote thing nailed now haven't I?! Now where's that smug smiley.....

Fliiiiiip (yes that WOULD be a different F word were it allowed) !

Natwest visa credit card statement day today (and i woke up at 4am to check it :p) and as suspected, due to the high interest charges (which they wouldn't freeze ) i have now gone over my credit limit and am getting charges on that too. _pale_
My credit limit is £6100 and my bill this month is £6187.. of which £121 is interest and £12 is the overlimit fee. Minimum payment is £138.

I am only able to pay £250 per month to it (with slight increases here and there) but in doing so it takes me back right to the bottom of my £6000 overdraft again and again every month which also charges me £80 in interest every month. Blimmin big fat cyclone of doom this is. :wall:

BUT. Once this credit card is finally gone (when I'm about 60) I can steadily build back out of my overdraft. This one is the one messing everything up because my others are 0% and progress is steady and costing me nothing. Love and hate this time of the month in equal measures because my bills come in and I get a reality check but also payday comes and I get to make a bit of progress

Question: How much does going over credit limit mess your credit score up?? And for how long? I've had that card in question for 10 years with a spotless record.

Not freaking out. Not freaking out, NOT FREAKING OUT._pale_

Working at home today  Loads to do workwise but also a fair bit at home while I'm LL-less including prep for Manchester. Also must fill the car up, must, must, must.
   .. Levi....x
PS - BILLIE - you were the only one I was impressed with, have a sticker for your chart :grinheart:starmod: (god I'm such a daddy, I've lost my identity :rotfl:)

Bless Me&O - my mum is going through chemo right now for the 5th and 6th bouts of cancer since I was 9. And she is a few hundred miles away along with all of my friends and family. So I feel your anxiety.. Levi is right though; you're in the best place for a support network here.. :) have read your diaries and posted :)

He may also be right that you're a hybrid of us both. Can't be a bad thing. We are awesome. :rotfl:

Edwink why don't I get an invite to this magical not buying it kingdom hmm? Probably because you know I would fail and buy it anyway... :o:o:o

So sorry to hear of your Mum's battles too Lilt, I really hope she has some good news soon. She sounds like a very strong lady though, like my Mum. It is so awful to watch and grow up with, knowing you can't change it isn't it. My Mum has so many problems that I wouldn't know where to start. They actually bring her notes in on a trolley now as they're not allowed to lift them for health & saftey issues... I kid you not!

And yes, you are both pretty awesome, I'll let you (both) have that one. ;)

And sorry again for thread-crashing Levi!

I'm not sure about the credit score implications Levi, but I really wouldn't worry about that now, I don't imagine you'd be wanting to apply for credit anytime soon. You're paying over the minimum on the card and you should be in a better position with it in a couple of months.

Will any of your 0% cards allow you to transfer an ickle bit from the Natwest card over to them to act as a buffer?

Is it worth appealing to them again to freeze the interest charges now that it has gone over your limit? Maybe now they will acknowledge it if it is making you incur charges - worth a try.

If they say no, get LL to blow the biggest, wettest raspberry at them down the phone... won't help, but may make you giggle :D

    Chin up chuck

See the email as a 'Congratulations on your lucky escape' letter, and yep, offer up the love, although what are the tax implications for, err, that?! :rotfl:
