I've decided to ask my brother to help me with credit card 1 or o/d. He can probably easily get a 0% credit card, transfer balance and let me pay him back monthly. I will ask him. This weekend. I wont chicken out.:o

Glad you've decided to ask him Levi and I'm sure he'll be happy to help if he's able.
It will take quite a weight off your shoulders not to have to worry about the interest and charges and a happy, less stressed Daddy = a happy LL.

We shall be 'prodding you' on here all weekend so you don't chicken out...

When you do get your basic bank account Levi, just thought I'd reassure you that your debit card won't have BASIC stamped across it! LOL! :-)

  • You talk too much man. I go away and come back to 30+ posts. Anyone would think this was my diary :rotfl:

Yay to holiday.... I am sure your mum can sort your hair ;) or at least Luca's! I cut Jellys for ages before taking her to a hairdresser :) I also cut my own fringe for years when it kept growing faster than the rest :rotfl: - nowadays I cut hims into whatever style he chooses. Mohawk quite often. I m proud of my perfect tramlines :D - clippers cost £26. 3 cuts later they were paid for. And I can do it weekly if he so chooses.

Good news on asking your brother. Maybe he could just lend you enough money to not go back into the charging for over the limit cycle? Rather than doing a BT etc.

Hope the journey with LL was good and not too hard :) and I hope you have relaxing time.

Am not even going to take the time to comment on work guy. You handled it all perfectly. You deserve a dodgy hug with moi & Me&O for that ;)

Take care.. relax. Get a bank account :P

    Hey :j
    from sunny Manchester!!
We had a great journey up here and it's really good to be back at base unit seeing the mother. Change of scenery and routine if nothing else :) Stayed up rather late last night catching up (my sister came round) and then slept well in the spare room on the trusty futon. Today I have made it through a MASSIVE day out at a shopping centre with no spends other than the bit of change that I already had in my wallet (about £10 max) - on a couple of bits in the pound shop, a big chewy bone for Ozzy to entertain him while I'm out tonight, and a mothers day card so I can leave it up here for her.

Poor LL has had a streak of bad luck. He went flying forward and landed with the most awful impact on his hands, knees and chin on the concrete
It was pretty bad, I was worried he was really hurt but the brave little chap was only crying for a couple of minutes and pulled himself together. His chin was bleeding but I was able to sort it out with a baby wipe and my mum had a plaster in her handbag (good old mums with their magic bags :p). The main impact was his on his hands and one of his knees but no blood, just bruising (which I'm sure will be very obvious tomorrow) :(
I felt soooo bad because he put his arms out for me to try and catch him as he fell but I just didn't react quick enough and he fell really hard :(
He wasn't happy to walk on his leg for the first half an hour and I carried him but then he felt better and we did hours of shopping & looking with my shopaholic mother :o She got LL a few bits of clothes which was lovely of her and she bought us lunch in a nice little place.
In Boots she also got him some bits and pieces like kiddy toothpaste, shampoo, bubble bath. All handy stuff for home.
I managed to get some hair wax on my Boots Advantage points, didn't realise I had about £11 on there. So had the feeling of buying something without the need to actually spend anything :)

So much walking for LL - on a poorly leg at that - so it wasn't soon after we got back in the car that he fell asleep. My mum stopped off at Waitrose and got a couple of ready meals for our tea tonight and then I'm off to meet my brother for a couple of beers while we have the chance. Mum is looking forward to looking after him and Oz, I'm sure they will all be fine.

Bye for now, need to eat and get my gladrags on ;)

PS: Lilt, wish you were nearer, LL loves a mohawk style. :)

PPS: Nothing on a new bank account yet but will do so when I'm home. Probably. :p

  • Lovely to hear from you :) glad you had such a lovely day and do not beat yourself up over not catching LL... we are human.. he was probably putting them out as much to stop the impact as he was to let you grab him. Bless him though, he's a little trooper. :)

Have a great night with your brother. Enjoy the beers etc. And I am sure LL & Ozzy will have a fab time with your mum :) xx

Aww poor LL with that fall - glad he's OK and no serious harm done. Good to hear you're having such a good time away and you're getting well looked after.

Had to laugh as when I first read your post I thought you said you slept well on the rusty futon LOL!

Bless LL - good old mums, I do it all the time to my grown up boys and they all laugh at me, but that is what I am there for. Girlfriend here with one this weekend and she just said 'oh no chipped nail varnish' . So off I trotted and got cotton wool pads and remover - she was impressed.... Enjoy your freedom tonight and chat to your hearts content. xxx
