So what exactly are you hoping to achieve? You paid eBuzz £4.99 P&P and used a voucher code which presumably got you the camera for free? From their T&C's, they will refund "any money received from you", so you are right that they should refund the P&P. However, the voucher code wasn't money - it simply applied a 100% discount to the item. They have no obligation to make that discount reusable, and indeed I would expect it to be a single use code. Even if they do reactivate the voucher, it entitles you to buy that one product from that one site, so what else do you propose to do with it?
Exactly, just the same as stores do if you purchase with a Love2shop voucher and return. They wont give cash refund, they would just refund this with one of their own vouchers, so you could only spend with them. So OP you would be no better off as you would still have to spend with them.0 -
If they only listed it as an RRP or MRP then they don't have to have ever sold it for that price.
Taken my post slightly out of context there.
What I said wasThe only way this would be misleading would be if they had never sold it at £69.99 and they'd basically made up the figure in order to make the deal seem better than it is.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

From eBuzz that is all I want. What I was trying to avoid by cancelling the order with them was the hassle and expense of having to return the item. Hence my eagerness in corresponding with someone quickly before they dispatched the item.0 -
So you're paying £17.99 for nothing rather than £22.98 for a dashcam? Whatever works for you, I suppose.0

What I said was
but a RRP or MRP are not a made up figure, these are what a manufacturer recommends a retailer sells for.
dont forget before reaching enduser a product changes prices several times
Manufacturer > Distributor
Distributor > Wholesaler
Wholesaler > Retailer
Retailer > Enduser
I have been to some wholesalers where the RRP is say £12.99 but wholesaler price is £9.99 + VAT (£11.99) so impossible to sell at £12.99 and make a profit0 -

*sigh* I thought my post was clear but obviously not.

but was your comment not a reply to my post #37 regarding RRP0 -
Government guidelines say:1.6 Comparisons with "Recommended Retail Price" or similar
1.6.1 You should not use a recommended retail price, or similar, as a basis of comparison which is not genuine, or if it differs significantly from the price at which the product is generally sold.0 -
Government guidelines say:
The last phrase "if it differs significantly from the price at which the product is generally sold" is interesting.
Guidelines is just a guide and not LAW. How would this work if the RRP is pre printed on goods, does this mean to sell the item you have to remove them from the packaging that has the printed RRP on0 -

The hard part is proving £69.99 is made up, which let's face it most likely is.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0
