Glorious weather again today! I have been for a walk and am going for another tonight to Hayling Island. It is lovely outside birds are twittering and the sun is out.

I should have done my ironing or gardening but I haven't as I went food shopping which involved a two hour walk. So far I haven't spent anything else since my holiday other than on food. Am v proud of myself. Am going to a carboot on Sunday. Looking forward to it as I am a nosey parker! I hope it will be a good one.

No prep done for work I have one week left of freedom. I will start that next week. Hurrah for nice weather I hope it will be like this in the summer. Glorious. I hope it lasts.

It has been a lovely day again despite the rain first thing. I have done my ironing and have sorted some more clothes into charity bags. I have soo many clothes it's frightening. I still have plenty more I can donate so I might look again with fresh eyes in a bit to declutter.:D

I feel as though I haven't done anything moneysaving so I am going to put an extra £50 in the kitchen fund and be v careful for the rest of the holiday. I am also going to change the name of my thread back to the kitchen fund as I think I need to be more intent on saving.

Been listening to Laura Brannigan on Spotify amongst other songs. Now I listen to spotify as I sold all my cds. Does anyone remember the song Gloria? I loved it soooo much. It summed up the 80s for me. I also looked up old actors and singers I loved that died. I used to love Anthony Hamilton from Cover Up he died of Aids in 1995 eleven years after he made it big in Hollywood. He was amazing. I can't believe I am still here when he and Laura Brannigan have passed away. Isn't life weird? I do wonder why I am here sometimes. Life is wonderful but also v cruel. RIP Laura and Tony, my heroes when I was a kid.

I have applied to put kitchen fund into a savings account earning 6% at HSBC I am not sure if I will get it though as I don't think my current account was posh enough! wonder when I will hear if I will get it. I am not sure where the direct debit is going out of as I am getting a bit confused so I will look another day.

Weather glorious. I am running out of things to wash but have found some blankets to do so I can make the most of the weather.

I had a little clear out in the kitchen. Why did I used to stock on expensive rubbish I then never consumed? Still I have de cluttered a bit. I wasn't well last night so couldn't manage car boot. however I have just mowed grass rather badly in back garden. Might go over it again. Also been clearing out garage which is full of lots of clutter. Steve and Andy and John the workman have stuff in there too and it is so full. I must sort it out as it is getting me down. Time spent tidying is an investment into my house and stops me from going out and wasting money I don't have!:rotfl:
Just enjoying the peace and the brightness. :j
Newspapers are predicting a heat wave this summer, lots of people at work will be going abroad I hope to stay and make the most of the sunshine here. Another wonderful day.

Hello, feeling a little relieved as I have started some of my marking I didn't do much but have promised my friends that I would finish one lot today (a few hours left but I thought I'd come on here to give me some focus).

I have also put all the things I want to give to charity into the spare room for a sense of achievement. 3Dogs is coming tomorrow to collect! So excited as I love de cluttering. Blimey how much have I wasted on clothes in the last few years when I thought I had been cutting down?

I have also dug out a few things that I can sell on ebay which might make a few pounds.:money: I realised that I might be allergic to my lipstick again two days ago. This happened about a year ago and I changed brands from MAC to Aerin but now it is happening with both brands so I might be ebaying quite a few brand new lipsticks that I have purchased that have stayed in the fridge. Fingers crossed I should make a few pounds for the kitchen fund. But I don't know how I will live without lipstick I am like a drag queen. Does anyone know of any lipsticks that are hypoallergenic? is that even a word?:p

Still upwards and onwards with the marking. If I am lucky I will get to watch some tv in a bit

    Hello

Hypoallergenic is a word :p Can't help with the lipstick but might be worth asking on the Health & Beauty board:

Upsidedown Bear and Aesop and 3Dogs thank you all for replying about everything. What a lovely picture of Daniel Craig. He doesn't need lipstick he's perfect!
I am going to check out these other lipticks when I go to town next. Blimey hope this doesn't work out to be too expensive!
No work done yet about to start. :o

Had a lovely day yesterday caught up with one of my friends and we visited our favourite stately home and tea room and celebrated her birthday. It reminded me that this will be the year of my garden. I am going to spend the summer holiday making mine nice again.

It was so hot eating and walking in the gardens when I arrived back home I didn't do my marking and fell asleep!

Today I will do work all day and maybe for the rest of the weekend. When I go back I must be up to date with everything. It has been lovely break and I have completed a fair bit of tidying so I am v happy.

I did a fair bit of work yesterday and have plenty to do over the next 3 days before I go back to work.

Is it just me but there has not been much on tv over the hols?

I keep wanting to use my Tivo box but there is nothing to tape. Real Housewives has finished, so has the auction programme Lot's Road, only Poldark is on and I have only seen one episode. I can't risk subscribing to other channels with the redundancy situation at work so I will have to find other programmes.
