  • I think you need to get your tree up soon, bring coloured light into your lounge and feel uplifted by the sparklies.

  • You must be super busy SW as you usually have your tree up by now. November is the last payday before Christmas so I’d better get a move on I haven’t bought any presents yet!

Indeedy Henry isnt up yet. I might put him up this weekend. I went to my vaccine centre but they could not fit me in, i will try again in a  few weeks when i next finish early. I spent £10 xmas wrapping for just two friends, omg so expensive just for two boxes and crepe paper!!! I am just counting the weekdays till payday.

This sounds crazy but i am so tempted to buy lottery scratchcards to win some money. Is that stupid?

  • Do it, he's probably lonely and thought you've forgotten about him!
Ouch, that is expensive. I did the 3 for 2 at T when getting my wrapping material this year, same with the cards.

I don't think it's stupid what you're thinking and I can honestly understand why you're thinking it. How would you feel spending however much and not winning anything?

I'm still tempted. I think it is because i have been watching an American Programme called 'My Lottery Dream Home'.  lol

I spoke to a colleague they will retire in two years and their pension is miniscule.  I have a bit of time to work on mine.

  • Have you worked out how much your outgoings are, less mortgage and work related costs? You may not need as much money as you think.

If you do buy a card, or two, don't let it become a habit.

  • SW how about buying some premium bonds instead ? There seem to be quite a few people on MSE winning and you keep the capital ? Also if you haven’t got an emergency fund maybe you could put a small amount aside each month in a separate account ? At least you will have some funds should an emergency arise.
