Just catching up. Sorry to hear you are poorly0

Hello petal. I've been in bed since Saturday. Took a taxi to supermarket, staggered round and did a food shop. Taxi driver told me that the Cut in Tax Credits bill hasn't gone through thanks to House of Lords. Jolly useful those chaps and chapesses - Luckily they have a social conscience and aren't tied to parties as strongly as the Conservatives would like them to be.
I used to work with one (very wise, ethical and educated) and he would have voted against this attack on the public so I am vvv happy his friends have also voted that way.
Payday on Friday I think. I cannot wait. No work done as I keep coughing and sleeping.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Sorry you are still poorly :kisses3: Hope you are better very soon.
I too am very pleased the cuts aren't going to happen. We'll have to see what they are planning to do instead in the Autumn statement. I just hope they drop the whole thing. As my OH says it's not they don't understand what the cuts would mean to people - they do know and they don't care0 -
I completely agree with you Mr and Mrs Upsidedown Bear. http://static.moneysavingexpert.com/images/forum_smilies/action-smiley-033.gif
Hurrah for common sense.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
My OH says you don't see common sense very often these days
Glad we're in good company :A0 -
I feel sorry for the really young ones. It will cost a fortune to do a degree. Then the jobs they would expect to get in medicine, education, officers in the military will no longer exist. The public sector is being dismantled. Well paid jobs in banking have always gone to those educated in the private sector with connections.
We might be poor but at least we had a chance to buy homes and study what we loved. Public sector cost cuttings have only just begun. The future is looking grim for the next four years.
I wonder when ordinary people will see an improvement? Maybe there is one? According to the Daily Fail the streets of the UK are paved with gold and in London there are diamonds on every street corner. I'm in the minority and obviously need to get my eyes tested. It's looking a bit gloomy here. Off to watch some telly and cheer myself up.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Right I have slept all morning and now I am going to make myself do some work. I have slept for a whole week and should look like a supermodel but I just look like me. lol. The majority of this bug has gone but I keep wanting to puke so I will stay in and take it easy.
Roll on payday and Friday as Steve and Andy (bestie friends) are bringing the film boxy thing so I can watch movies. Sooooo excited. After this no more spending at all.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
