I have just been paid. Woohoo. I only got one week of my new salary in this pay packet. £1765 . Once my mortgage is paid (£1k plus OP), and bills (£450), & food and fun (£115)  I will have £200 for next month's v high credit card bill (Yikes £442) .

  • It can be difficult changing jobs for the first pay. Perhaps you can spread your credit card bill as a one-off until you get back onto full pay again ?

Hello Skinty, yes i will i am going to pay the £200 rest of my Oct cc bill  from  next month's pay packet in October. I did spend quite a bit in the summer on travel and takeaways when friends visited.

  • Try not to use your CC until this bill is paid off. It's good you're spreading it over a few months, no point busting a gut and stressing over a couple of quid interest.

With a weeks money, you can work out roughly what you'll pick up each month and should receive the remainder of Aug in your next one.

You're sounding more and more happier with each passing day.

All being well MF it is next months bill and i can pay it off in one payment without incurring any interest.

Hurrah, finally the weekend is here. Work is v busy as it is all new. I have been working loooooong days nothing unusual there at least the pay is better.  The positive way to look at it is that the subject is one i have an interest in so i am being paid to research an awful lot. lol.

I had to buy a hard drive for £40! for my job, it should come tomorrow. The weather will be good and i am hoping i can get a few bits of food to top up my fridge over the weekend. Hopefully it will be cheap!

I have spent £16.99 and bought some mulch as now mum has cleared weeds i cant face doing that awful job again. Im hoping it will arrive soon and i have the chance this week to spread it around my lovely flowers and veg.

I am waiting for a work parcel which is not here yet,  i will have to collect it over the weekend and will also do a food shop on my groovy bus pass which is some money saved. Just ordered another textbook for a bargain price of £12.00.

Jobs to do over weekend: sort admin out, hoover, wash darks, water garden, write a hard few lessons,  get food, pick up parcel.

  • Work is always better when it's something you enjoy.

If you can get some cardboard, tuck it over the exposed soil and around your plants, then put the mulch on. Acts as a great weed suppression.

    Have a good weekend.

I'm doing a tiny bit of work tonight and will do rest tomorrow. Starting early i think. If i have time i will collect hard drive and also do a small food shop or I will collect on way to work on Monday morning.

My exwork colleague who is a bother came today and I couldnt get rid of her.  I am so cross i wrote a message saying please do not visit without texting first to see if i am free. she has just replied to say she might come again tonight. OMG.  I had a massive headache which got worse as she wouldnt leave this afternoon.  I'd rather she left me alone  but I havent written that. It is getting to that stage though she just doesn't get the hints i have been giving her for the last two years! I dont mind people coming round but she just moans about work, doesnt let anyone speak and i dont get any time off at all. Noone likes her and she has just tagged onto me as I was the only one too polite to tell her to go away.

  • Block her, say you're unavailable, don't answer the door. If she's not got the hints you will have to be direct as 2 years is too much.
