Holidays in 3 days. Payday in one.

An end of shielding letter came from Matt Hancock today. It has been a year i cannot wait for this horrible corona to go. It delayed my wonderful friend's cancer treatment and meant that it had spread too much so  chemo was no longer viable. when the last lockdown finally ended.

Darling Steve is waving to me in phone calls and is happy,  Andy is doing so much to keep him comfortable. The hospice want him back as he is v ill now but he wants to stay at home so he can be with his wonderful husband all the time which i completely understand. I cant wait to see him at the weekend. I can still visit in the hospice but others wont be able to and quite a few are coming this weekend to see him from all over the country to cheer him up.

Today i did a big food shop £37 and spent £8 on things for students,  I did a tiny bit of  lesson prep, two more lots of washing as weather is lovely.   As i walked to the supermarket i reckoned i saved the taxi fare and used it on some lovely white daisy's and alliums from a facebay seller for £10 to cheer myself up.

The weather was so bright. It was good to get out of the house as i was getting quite down. The weather is simply lovely. It is just like summer early. I remember when we had an Easter like this over 12 years ago.

I have also mowed two thirds of the grass. It will be hot tomorrow too and i have a few hours off to do some more mowing in the afternoon.  Only two working days and then the Easter holiday. All i am thinking of is about the end of lockdown and the good weather over the hols so i can garden, tidy and do paperwork.
I finally plucked up the courage to see what i was doing this time last year on the diary. I had just gone back to work after my mini operation and we were inspected. My mum and dad did an emergency dash to bring me some food and i was mowing the grass. lol. It is good to have a reminder.
I have spent over £140 visiting the boys this month so I am going to stop putting £100 in my emergency fund and will see if i can pay off my credit card and see how much is left over after payday.

Thank goodness finally it is payday. After today one more day of work then two weeks holiday and i can sort myself out and spend time with my wonderful friends. Today i mowed the rest of the grass as things are slowing down a little as we are almost on hols. What a difference this makes to the garden. I day at work then it is Easter break I cannot wait.

I'm so glad as feel i am pretty close to cracking up. lol I will wait for the dust to settle but assume i am making my usual savings of £250 plus the OP from rent of £500. I will pay my credit card in full and see how much is left. My emergency fund is almost £200 and i cant add to it this month.
I will be gardening to save money this Easter and doing plenty of prep at home to minimise spending.
