Wow! Congratulations SW, that's such lovely news :) Is this to supplement the day job, or to replace it? I'd be rubbish....even if I sat on a newspaper....I feel very nauseous on coaches but love the idea of going around the country and learning new things!

    Hello Kittykins, good luck today.

It is to supplement my income. I am paid over the hols as I am salaried but it would be nice to treat myself to some nice things. Today I purchased some glorious sandals. I would like to buy a lap top (I only have a home computer).

    Weather is great. :j:beer:

Oxford. On Saturday in this heat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope the coach is swanky too. I am not even going to wear make up as I am sure it will melt whilst walking around.

I bought new sandals in honour of the occasion. I haven't done any reading up on Oxford yet. Off to do after tea. Lovely lodger is dropping me off and saving me bus fare in the morning. How cool is that? He offered. OMG. :j

Hope you are ok. I am sooooo excited.

Utterly wonderful Skinty. It all went to plan, the coach was swanky! and I took them to Christchurch College and Cathedral, The Bodleian Library (a part tour) and also to the Ashmolean. We toured the Colleges from the outside too, saw some punting going on, picnicked in the park and, of course, they shopped. :j:j

It was wonderful for me as I hadn't been for a good few years and things came back to me. I gave a chat about Renaissance art too seeing as they were ltalian. Oxford really is one of those places that inspires you. They liked me as a guide and some of the kids hugged me at the end and I got a nice round of applause that didn't seem grudging! Teenagers aged 16-18 hugging a guide ! lol They have insisted they want me again for more trips. I had a text from my boss saying was I available to do more before I even got home. lol.

I still don't know what my wages are. But to be honest I would have struggled to have afforded even the railway fare to Oxford so it was a real blessing for me.

I feel incredibly motivated. Apparently we walked 6km yesterday - which to me is 12k steps.:rotfl::rotfl: It was payday and I haven't even looked at new or old bank account.

Today I am washing clothes, cleaning housey, planting lavender outside, sorting new account online, and hopefully if I can still do it trying to jog on trampoline!

My banking has been a bit slow as one of my accounts doesn't make visible payments at the weekend and the new account internet registration has been v time consuming. Still I think I am ok now. I am putting my fan on and am going to sleep. lol.

As well as the glittery sliders for £16.99 I have just treated myself to issey pure nectar 90ml for bargain price of £27.95! I think we can safely say I have spent all of the earnings I have made in my new job. It's just good to be able to buy some nice treats again. I do love this perfume.

Jobs to do today include: watering in new lavender, jogging, shopping.

It didn't rain last night. We have a hosepipe ban but can water with our watering cans.

Welcome back Dolly. I hope the hols went well.

I am going to work tomorrow and today am mostly chilling. I should be jogging for the first time in 2 weeks. I am delighted to say that I have £40 in my xmas fund. :) I had to empty it for all the birthdays last month. lol.

The rent money has gone towards the mortgage and I have made an overpayment & saved £250 too. :) Plus last month I didn't buy anything extra other than food I think. I have just had a massive spend on sandals and also a perfume. I would like a cute summer hat but am going to shop around when I next go to town.

  • I really want a nice summer hat too but my head is small (only small part of me) so can't get one that fits well enough.

Seen the hat the Duchess of Sussex was wearing and really like that but will probably cost like a million dollars:p
